Anybody read Boxer's novel?
According to Amazon reviews, women love it, men hate it.

And where the f*ck does my rep find time to write a novel?

2. I was thinking that the reviews were more along the lines of Party
affiliation than gender.

3. She had the help of a ghost writer who has written many
novels of her own. She's very open about giving her credit for helping her to pull it together and giving the necessary editorial help.

Also, I think Barbara has not shirked in her primary duties at all. She is allowed to have some down time and a hobby like the rest of us. I am amazed at the amount of research and writing she does on her political venue as Senator with her newsletters, emails and website.

4. I heard her read a long passage on Bernie Ward's radio program...
I'm a male but I liked what I heard and ordered the book through the inter-library loan thingy.

5. I saw her talking about it on CNN
It took her 10 years to write it.

They do take vacation's though. ;)

6. I read that she mainly wrote it
during the many long cross-country airplane flights she takes from DC to California.

Some people do crossword puzzles on airplanes, some read, some nap. She wrote a novel over ten years.

What do YOU do on frequent cross-country flights?
