Question for those more in the know- is the son referred to in this article the one that Bush* allowed to escape the U.S. on 911?

Bin Laden's son rises in al-Qaeda
From correspondents in Washington
October 14, 2003

ONE of Osama bin Laden's eldest sons has risen to the top ranks of al-Qaeda and is helping run the terror network from Iran, the Washington Post reported.

Saad bin Laden, believed to be 24, and other top al-Qaeda operatives are operating inside Iran near Afghan border protected by an elite Iranian unit linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, according to the Post.

The newspaper cites US, European and Arab officials as its sources.

Saad has been linked to both the May 12 suicide bombing in Riyadh that killed 35, and the May 16 bombings that killed 45 people in Casablanca, Morocco, according to the Post.

2. the Murdoch site makes it sound as if the WashPost is the purveyor
of facts; ergo a primary source ... the 'facts' come from from vague sources and unknown correspondents ... yet, "according to the Post" surpercedes the vague sources, and becomes 'the source' through reference.

The Post estimates Saad to be 24, and that he was in Afghanistan in the mid-80s (there was war on then, wasn't there?) ... that would say, he was around 6 ... if that should matter.

Who knows what to believe.

We certainly deserve a list of names on who exited as part of 911 investigations in order to make proper judgments.
