It failed here by 92.07%.

The only county it failed, from what I gleaned on the Secretary of State's website, was Travis County.

What is WRONG with these people?

3. will you post a site to find these county results?
I'm in Tarrant. This sucks. It's worse than I thought it would be. Worse than the presidential vote.

8. Yeah, that's what I was thinking
I wasn't expecting it to ban things 'similar' to marriage - I mean, that could be interpreted VERY broadly by some wingnut RW judges.

Those people are such viscious bigots - that's OK - they know that their God will catch up with them in the end...

7. see
http://204.65.107.70/enrnovgen05.htm

If that doesn't work, try

http://www.sos.state.tx.us/ and go down to just under the Secretary's signature, and click on "Election Night Returns for 2005 Constitutional Amendment Election and Special Election, State Representative, District 143"

You can be proud of that. You voted AGAINST hatred and bigotry. So did I. So did my husband. Stand tall. I do.

11. Hold your head high
You are one of the few people in your county with a brain in your head.

That's something to be very proud of.

If you can find the other 551 people you could take over. Trust me, the rest aren't smart enough to see you coming.

I am currently working 34 hours a week in a local bank in my hometown, which I hightailed it out of ASAP at age 17. I am 26 now and have two degrees from high-ranked departments at major international universities. I have been to 12 foreign countries. I was on $40K a year with great benefits at my previous job in the UK, but had to move back here, largely against my will, due to a nasty break-up and immigration issues. I am working in the bank now to save up some money so I can move to Austin after the New Year and have no debt accrue as a result! But the way people treat me... well, I find it hilarious. They assume I am younger than I am (always a problem, as I am short and 'cute'), and that I am a silly ditz who has never left the state, much like themselves. They talk down to me, assume I am an evangelical Christian, and basically make utter fools of themselves without ever knowing it. Thanks to DU for keeping me sane.
