when she refers to our use of "napalm" in Fallluja. The chemical we are accused of using is white phosphorus. Calling it napalm will lose her credibility on this.

Officials said that if journalists had asked about the firebombs their use would have been confirmed. A spokesman admitted they were "remarkably similar" to napalm but said they caused less environmental damage.

But John Pike, director of the military studies group GlobalSecurity.Org, said: *"You can call it something other than napalm but it is still napalm. It has been reformulated in the sense that they now use a different petroleum distillate, but that is it. The US is the only country that has used napalm for a long time. I am not aware of any other country that uses it." Marines returning from Iraq chose to call the firebombs "napalm".

more in terms of the type weapon (chemical/incendiary) action (dispersal-type bombing) and intended use (military action purported to be used on specific targets to drive out the "terrorists" from that city)

rather than just as a technical dispute over what name it's called.

13. I don't have links but there was a lot of info out at the time about

the "Napalm" - they had changed one or two of the original registered ingredients so that they could deny that it was (exactly) Napalm. Changed soap for plastic, or gasoline for naphtha, or some such trickery. I've just recently seen the White Phosphorous idea coming forth. Since they are also denying the use and/ or the dangers of Depleted Uranium, I suspect they use it all.

Torture? War Crimes? Moi? Surely you jest, sir. Not us. Can't happen here. Heh heh heh.
