This is our chance to put Arnold in his place and show the GOP thugs that CA is still a blue state!

4. My Brother will vote NO on everyone accept 79-YES!
80 is well intentioned, but worried about the legal jargon in the proposal.

5. How do things look in Ca.? Last I heard
any proposition Arnold supported, the voters didn't. :) Were people showing up to vote? Was it busy?

8. Voted in Santa Monica - no wait.
Though, they changed my polling place from the last election. The good news is that the Law in California is such that you can vote at any polling place in the state, using what's called a 'provisional' ballot.

They said, 'this isn't your polling place; this isn't where you're voting today'. I said, 'I know the Law - this is EXACTLY where I'm voting today. Gimme my provisional ballot, right now.' They did.

6. VOTE NO ON ALL OF THESE FAUX PROPS!
and Bernie Ward agrees - he said that last night.

I already voted absentee.

If you cannot read through all of the legal sleaze, VOTE NO!

10. 79 is a prescription drug plan, 80 is re-regulation of electricity industr
79 has been fought $$$$$$$$$$ by Big Pharm, they have spent huge amounts on TV commercials against it and in favor of 78 which is also a prescription drug plan, but is VOLUNTARY for the drug companies, meaning that it is completely meaningless.

15. OK - NPR covered the Drug Plans this morning
Edited on Tue Nov-08-05 04:25 PM by AllegroRondo
they just didnt give the numbers for them.

79 is the one where the state bargains with drug manufacturers for bulk purchase discounts, with the ability to remove a drug from the state 'preferred drug list' if they dont comply.

78 is the one where drug companies give a discount if they feel like it.

tough choice.

9. That's What I Did
But then I had to feed my ballot into a machine clearly marked DIEBOLD! When I commented how uncomfortable I was having to put my ballot in that machine, the workers at my polling place just chuckled and said - oh, you don't trust Diebold?

No, I don't.

I'm in San Diego County surrounded by right wingnuts.....

11. I'm in San Diego, so same for me, but at least there's a paper trail, not
like the early 2004 election which was touch-screen and no trail at all.

13. Just voted in La Mesa. Large paper ballots fed into an "Accuvote" machine.
I was the only person at the polls at 12:30 PM.

14. Voted as you did....but worried about turnout...
I live in a city of 22,000 with 3 polling places (at least for this election). I voted at 12:45pm and the "Accuvote" machine that I fed my ballot into said that I was the 151st person to vote today. I asked the poll worker if this was right, and she said yes, it has been a very light turnout so far. Hmmm...beautiful weather here in No. California so that's no excuse.

19. That's precisely how I voted!
I'm 21 and haven't missed an election since I turned 18 and voted against recalling Davis (and for Bustamante).

Down with Schwartzenegger!
