Is there any actual evidence to support the ABSURD claim that
When it rains Democrats either don't go out to vote, or can't be bothered going out to vote?

This, from another thread is what CNN is saying regarding the voting in California today. However, I've heard the mediawhores say this previously in other elections, about the weather of all things stopping our people from going out to vote.

I DON'T believe this BULLSHIT, it's another EXCUSE to help the bastards steal the elections, that's my opinion.

But I was thinking, the mediawhores keep on bleating this excuse about if it rains, then our people won't be going out to vote. So, is there any ACTUAL evidence to support this BIZARRE claim of their's...or as we suspect are they just talking out of their sphincter's?

We need to take it to them: "Stop talking shit mediawhores, either give us evidence that raining stops Democrats from voting...or shut the fuck up"

1. The reason weather disproportionately affects Dems
is that they make Dem precincts stand in line for hours, but they don't do this to Repig precincts.

2. Yeah well that shouldn't be happening in states that are
Majority Democratic, like California and New Jersey.

4. msnbc had the same talking point this morning.
Are they trying to send dems some subliminal message to stay home if it's raining. What is this?
Msnbc even went so far as to back it up with past elections.

5. Where is it raining? Central CA?
Looks like, on the Radar, that the rain is above Bakersfield. Will this help Arnie? Will the rain make it into the Southland in time to effect turnout? Rain isn't predicted for San Diego until thurs. If it starts raining in Santa Barbara (looks like it will), that's not exactly minority central.

I don't think people in N. and C. California are fazed by rain. The question mark is LA. If it rains hard in LA that will change voter turnout.

8. I don't know
In the other thread, the one headed that CNN saying that Lughead's props will probably pass "because it's raining and that could depress minority district turnout"

6. It well could be a lie
But, Democrats do have the majority of low income voters. Perhaps low income voters, those less likely to have cars and more likely to walk or take public transportation, stay home more when the weather is not as good.

I know that generally, I'm less likely to go out to run errands or do something I don't have to, if it's raining and I have a car.

7. The may be two legit concerns in bad weather:
1. Working people who rely on public transportation
2. Young working parents who are always strapped for time already

But there is no deluge here. So, it's BS.

11. Didn't you know that all us Dems are made of sugar and
melt in the rain? It's genetic and each year, tragically, thousands of American liberals perish in unexpected rain storms. This is why our numbers are steadily declining. It also explains why there are so many dems in California. You must be a closet freeper or else, of course, you would already know this.

14. It's not absurd
It refers to inner city precincts, where people don't own cars and if they do, there's little or no parking available. For those of us who live in dense urban areas, getting to a polling place 10 blocks away, or more, is a bit more difficult than driving over to the local school gymnasium. Bad weather makes it even more difficult. It's never stopped me from voting, but I'm pretty motivated and my polling place is not far away. Out in the more Republican burbs, though, most people have to drive right by their polling place on their way to or from work, so voting is far less of a hardship.
