the Park Service is out of line
Interesting story about how the Bush administration is forcing park managers to adhere to "the Bush philosophy" on national parks (whatever that is).

www.wilderness-sportsman.com

"
BOZEMAN - A public watchdog group is accusing the Bush administration of politicizing the National Park Service work force under a new employee management agenda.

Jeff Ruch, executive director of Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility in Washington, D.C., said a memo from Park Service director Fran Mainella earlier this month calls for employees applying for top park jobs to show "ability to lead employees" in order to achieve President Bush's "Management Agenda."

Potential top employees must also first meet with an Interior Department assistant secretary, a political appointee, and adhere to Interior Secretary Gale Norton's "4Cs," the memo states."

and protestors in the parks, as well as "illegal videotaping"???...hmmm, wonder if the Park Service is becoming an ongoing battle between the government and the ACLU?
