I am nobody special ...I am just me
I didn't stop a criminal by giving him meth and reading the purpose driven life,

I didn't lose my husband in the jungle on missionary work.

I didn't run away from my groom to be.

I didn't lose my house in an explosion to have extreme makeover come give me everything in life.

I am just a hard working special education teacher trying to pay off student loans and raise my teenage daughter in a world hell bent on turning back the clock on women's rights while trying to make my husband of 16 years feel like he is the only person in the world important to me all while working on my master's degree.

I am tired and tired of getting the middle class squeeze.

I would love to be a stay at home mom, to have the perfect clean house and be ready to do the family thing at a moments notice when ever my family wants to go to the mall or the movies.

Maybe I will win the lottery!!!

My husband and I dream of somehow getting a grant or something to open up a classy restaurant in our home town ... dreams when do they become reality??? NOT IN THIS BUSH WORLD

1. Dreams come true for bushs' base, the haves and have mores.
everyone else gets left behind and yes that includes you value voting morans! bush** could not care less about you, your family and especially your financial interests! He squeezes you every time he gets the chance and thanks to your self-serving one issue votes, we are all screwed!

2. Hugs to you, greenbriar
 Your post makes me sad, to think that those are the newsworthy things. Not us moms who are working and going back to school and doing what needs to be done. Hang in there, and know that your daughter is watching your devotion to your family and your striving toward improving yourself, and your dedication to helping kids who really need it, and I hope that she will build on that and continue to help improve the world, and fight back against the Bush regime.

3. You're not alone.... you've got millions of kindred spirits.
To alter a line from the song "Will I?" from the "Rent" soundtrack a bit: "Will we lose our dignity? Will someone care? Will we wake tomorrow from this nightmare?"
That's what life under the Bush regime feels like.

10. Five fucking years, that asshat that stole the election from Gore
has made me wish the world would just end! I am so sick of being sick and tired of him and his greedy, self-serving and self-absorbed supporters. But then I get really angry and think, screw him! He won't get the best of me!

7. i love being knowbody!
but your post is beautiful. I recommend you sit down with your business plan, contact the Small Business Administration, and follow your dream.

my sons used their 401K's, leased a building, bought machinery at auctions, and got a mentor from the SBA. He showed them the path to getting bids, and they ended up with a contract with Homeland Security. they are 28 and 30, and you know the koolest thing of all is that they no longer have those robot/drone eyes.

9. I have been searching for grants
for small businesses. The community we desire to do this in is less than 3000 in the town. Rural middle america we have huge dreams but no finances to do it.

13. Count yourself as one of the luckier ones
There are many on DU and many more whose messages we will never read on the internet who are suffering under this regime.
Many don't have jobs, some have had to declare bankruptcy and some have lost their homes.
The tide is turning, so hang in there.
