Watching Aussie PM Howard getting booed
I'm watching the opening ceremony of the Rugby World Cup from Australia. I'm getting it on a 3 day delay here in the U.S. on Fox Sports World.

As John Howard took the stand to open the World Cup you could hear boos from all over the stadium. Very cool, especially considering the nature of the event and the general apolitical nature of sports fans.

For the less informed, Howard has been behind Bush all the way and has rightfully received a ton of flack in Australia.

1. The difference...
...between America and Australia, is that Australian citizens aren't mindless zealot drones who would rather eat 2 whoppers and a bag of potato chips while watching their country bomb the living Sh** out of a another country on Fox news and feel satisfied.

The fact is that NO COUNTRY"S CITIZENS wanted ANYTHING to do with IRAQ EXCEPT OUR bainwashed morons who, instead of reading anything on their own, took the word of Bush and ran off with an american flag to bulldoze protestors and buy Anne Coulter's book.

Speaking of which... do you think she will dedicate an "Afterward" chapter titled "Treason in the Bush White House- leaking of classified information"?? I think the chances are slim to none.

2. Imagine what it will be like...
if, as expected, Bush turns up to watch a game with Howard on his visit to Australia.

Old Georgie'll be scarred for life.
