Ah, Xmas...
As a non-Christian, I don't really celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday. Then again, neither do most Christians that I know. I think I'll write a song about Xmas. A non-Christian Xmas carol!

To the tune of "Here comes Santa Claus":

Here comes Xmas time,
Yes, ol' Jesus time,
Right down America lane!

That it's a pagan celebration's
Ignored across the nation
But people like it just the same!

A solstice Bacchanalia
With red and green regalia
And advertising in your face!

Pine trees in homes,
And sprigs of mistletoe,
Just like in the pre-Jesus days!

Consumerist wishes,
and fattening dishes,
and television football games,

Santa Claus and reindeer,
surely are no stranger,
to our kids no matter their age!

A collective debt assumption
For the gift buying function,
Surely seems to be quite insane!

If Jesus saw the tribute paid him,
I'd be willing to wager,
That he'd turn away in shame!

Merry impending Xmas, everyone! Just be sure that you know what you're celebrating and why. Oh, and Ann Coulter, "Happy Holidays!"

:)

2. The same to you, brother or sister!
I celebrate all of the astronomical holidays, primarily because it's a good excuse to get outside at night and use my telescope and such. Also, I don't worship anything, but if I did, I would worship the sun. Finally, where is the joy in life if one doesn't have a few days of celebration?

3. Yule Tidings MojoXN
Don't worry, no one will ever take away the true joy of Yule. However in our home we welcome and celebrate all the different traditions of this special time.
Bright blessings.

4. Brilliant!
A cynical view shared by many philosophers of the Buddhist, Taoism,
styles. And Me, too!
