What happened to the full out assaults by the Clark and Dean people?
I was so used to being bombarded by Dean and Clark threads and now it seems that all that energy is gone.

Did the "Republican Lite" effect peter itself out when it became clear that we really are living under facism?

Is that why Kucinich is the only one people are talking about anymore and why he is polling hugely high, for a guy who "can't win"?

Not a moment too soon, IMHO.

4. I gave up
after my 4th positive Clark thread in 3 days that devolved into a flamefest within 5 posts, I have gone elsewhere to discuss my candidate. That's why I like Bartcop, very pro-Clark community, compared to here.

5. We got tired...
...of having to repeat the same arguments over and over and over again, ad nauseum.

Though, I'm sure the Dean people are only taking their cue from the "outside-the-Beltway" campaign manager Joe Trippi.

http://www.nytimes.com/2003/10/12/politics/campaigns/12CAMP.html?hp

"But Steve Murphy, the Gephardt campaign manager, said Mr. Trippi was being "totally hypocritical," adding: "Two weeks ago he ran into me and some of my staffers at Dulles airport and suggested that instead of attacking Howard Dean on Medicare, we should help him and Howard Dean attack Wesley Clark. This was a lengthy conversation."

13. I don't need Trippi's cue. Clark himself spurs my distrust and dislike
of himself.

I'm no fan of generals becoming president without them first running for a lower civilian political office, like governor, US Senator, or US Rep, winning that office, managing the affairs of that office well, and winning re-election at least once. A military officer needs to prove to me that they made the transition from military to civilian worlds before running for president. While I'm not a fan of Sen. John Kerry because of both his Iraq War votes, he passed that transition test, and I can support him over Clark any day of the week. At least I know that John Kerry is a Democrat.

8. I'd have posted more pro-Dean or anti-Clark stuff, except...
... I've been sick. :(

Maybe after I kick this cold/flu/whatever I'll make up for it with a nice little pro-Dean flood. ;)

15. Good question
You are right, it has quieted down. But, heh, if you are looking for more of the same there is an ongoing "war" in politics and campaigns between Kerry and Dean people, lol.

18. Same sad crew of 4 or 5
Clark haters, show up on every thread, however informative it may be, and shout the same pathetic cliches that amount to nothing ("'ll never trust a general" etc). Why bother with taking the time to research news, find something from a reliable liberal source and post it,only to have it immediately descend into a flamefest because of the same 5 people.

We know you won't vote for Wes Clark. You made that point WEEKS ago. Your arguments don't change and your minds are firmly set.

I've tried talking sense to southern baptists before and I had exactly the same results.

We got your message. We really, really, really did...
