Poll question: How do you identify yourself politically?
Edited on Mon Oct-13-03 03:44 PM by alonso_quijano
Though I do have an idea of how this poll will probably turn out, I'm curious about how DUers identify themselves--radical? moderate? liberal? I'm also curious about any non-liberals who frequent DU--are they all trolls, or are there any that we can work with our there?

Same here.
I'm a socialist but with reality of my own.

Some things I don't agree with Dems at all times, but some things stays the same. I don't agree with the right-wing thugs and their coked-up plans.

11. I guess you haven't read many of my posts in other threads

Halliburton has a special cage set aside for me, and an extra-scratchy orange jumpsuit.

They just can't seem to find me...

7. Because they can't choose this one honestly
"I'm a conservative who likes to be aware of opposing views, though I personally stand against them."

FRs do not like to be aware of opposing views, so checking this one would be dishonest.

12. I describe myself as....
someone who is intellectually and morally superior to 99.99% of the rest of the world. Trying to limit my insight and intelligence by forcing it to conform to some lable would just be wrong.

it doesn't matter to me if you are a democrat or a republican, conservative or liberal, as long as you recognise the simple fact that I am superior to you in every way imaginable ( except maybe for spelling and grammar ).

it is not an easy life, being so much better than eveyone else. I have few friends, and it's not because I'm an arrogant asshole that no one can stand, as my wife says, it's because my incredible wisdom, insight and depth makes others feel inferior and uncomfortable.

this is why I like DU. It's the only place I've found where there so many others just like me.

13. middle of the road liberal democrat.
Most of my positions are liberal and democratic although I understand that my side is not always right on everything and there can be truth to be found in many different positions.

16. I am a liberal
I'm a liberal who identifies with certain conservative positions (e.g. gun rights). That is a conservative issue of mine, and so is campaign finance reform. I'm against campaign finance reform.

24. Becuase I believe money is free speech
Plus campaign finance reform helps protect incumbents, who can use the Congressional frank and other methods to protect themselves.

had the word "green". That made #3 mandatory. I will not self-identify with greens-ever!
