5. Maybe Daddy's friends ...
... can pitch in and buy him a NEW country, one where everybody likes him.

Come to think of it, if that's a viable option, I'll even throw in a couple of bucks myself!

7. He's waiting for Daddy to bail him out
But this time he's pissed off Daddy's friends and squandered all his power on war and Jesus freaks.

He'll be moving back into Poppy & Bar's basement until he's ready to take his seat on the board with Carlyle.

And quitting would certainly be an admission of failure.

9. The RNC won't let him.

They would be stigmatized as "miserable failures" by association for years to come and they would lose elections all over the country. And of course, after they start losing elections they start losing campaign donations and they wouldn't make any money off influence peddling (a la DeLay). It would be a downward spiral that could mean the end of the rethug party.

11. Because he and his daddy both would be uncovered for the crooks and
international terrorists they are as soon as he lost his executive orders privilege, veto power and percs of the office to cover up the stuff they've been getting away with for years.

This is also the reason they will do anything they have to do to "win" the election in 2008.

They cannot afford to let anyone else have access to Presidential papers or to lose his immunity to being indicted.

12. Rumor has it he and Cheney are making a ton of money with all these
wars and happy defense contractors. They'd leave a lot of money on the table. Besides, there are those little war crimes they committed. They are actually in a position they can never leave alive because the next guy just might let them go to the Hague for trial

13. Because he signed a deal with the Pretzel that included a second term.
You don't welch on a deal with the Pretzel. Poppy holds your arms behind your back while Unka Dick bitch slaps you to the beat of Jeffy G. pounding on the back door.

Feeling vicious tonight.

14. It's all about his LEGACY.
He has to hold on long enough scrape out of there with his legacy intact. You know, the President who finally took the fight to the enemies of democracy, and all that.

If the neocons complete their mission, and reinstate the jungle as the natural environment for us all, Bush will be a hero.
