Gee, I guess the Media will once again ignore the REASONS for the protests
Edited on Fri Nov-04-05 04:36 PM by Armstead
It's all play-by-play of the protests, now that they have turned violent.

And of course, CNN and MSNBC are treating it like a sports event or natural disaster, with no discussion of WHY people are so cheesed off.

Sigh.

3. Becausze they're all socialists and communists according to Wolf
"I see all those red flags. Does that mean these protestors are socialists and communists?"

He really asked that idiotic question.

9. That was the SECOND time that they were pushing
for the field reporter to say "communists and socialists". Fortunately the bait wan't taken that time (of course it wasn't pointed up either)

4. Getting to the reasons...that's OUR job!
The Media doesn't "do" nuance and depth, remember?

They make the big bucks and we do their work for free...

amazing, ain't it?

8. No, they do not do nuance, just opinion. Why don't they just
show us the pics and tell us who, what, when and where and let us use our own judgment. I hate what passes for news now a days. Wolfie's opinion paid for by corporate amerika. I watched it for 1/2 hour and came back here. Couldn't stand any more.

10. Thank You John King
CNN's John King at least made a point to emphasize that the majority of protestors were peaceful and would condemn the violence. He also point out the core issue of anger at economic policies that many people believe represents the corporations setting up factories for low wages with no economic or environmental protections.

12. It is hard for him to get a word in edgewise
But Chris Matthews is being as clueless as Woilf.

They ought to lock these prople in a room with Naomi Klein, Katrina VandenHeuval and other progressives and get an education in the basics.
