Alaska, Walmart was a god damn miracle. My hometown was in a strangle hold by the local business, meaning we either had to pay their prices, or order it through a catalog, and as many Alaskans' know, a lot of companies don't ship to Alaska, so most of the time you are shit out of luck. Walmart came to my hometown in 2000, at the time the local stores were charging over 300 bucks for vcrs, over 35 dollars for dvds, over 20 dollars for cds....the local business has screwed my hometown for a long time, and walmart came to town and leveled the god damn playing field. The other business cried and boo hooed, but i didn't care, they were forced to compete instead of bending our town over. I for one voted YES on this poll.
