The Memory Hole:President Bush has earned the respect of our fighting men
Where Mr. Bush made good on promised pay raises for soldiers, President Clinton gave the armed forces a battle over open homosexuals. Where the new president promises fewer deployments intended "just to keep warring parties apart," Mr. Clinton set a record for peacetime missions.
And where Mr. Bush, a former Texas National Guard pilot, snaps off a salute with the best of them, Mr. Clinton, who dodged the Vietnam draft, had to attend a remedial "saluting class."
"There's been a sea change at the top," one sailor said after Mr. Bush addressed Navy officials at Norfolk Naval Station on Tuesday. "A lot of us were disgusted with President Clinton for his sexual misconduct, his dodging the draft for Vietnam.

3. Here is another one: Marines respect President Bush, not Clinton
Marines respect President Bush, not Clinton

This morning on CNN George W. was shown leaving 'Marine One' Helicopter. The
Marine enlisted man at the front step saluted, GW returned it, and as GW
walked away, the Marine executed a right face to stand facing GW's
back.....something that was not done in eight years of the Clinton
presidency.
This traditional Marine Corps mark of respect was rendered to the new
president. The Marine's respectful facing maneuver goes back to the days of
sailing ships with rigging, when the Marine orderly to the ship's Captain
always faced him, no matter the direction of the Captain's movement, so to
be ready
to receive an order from the Captain.
Who says that the enlisted force could not withhold respect from an
individual who didn't deserve their respect as a person? For eight years
they did. And for eight years Clinton and his civilian advisors didn't know
enough about the military they were "commanding" to realize what the
enlisted Marines were actually doing (or rather not doing).........

10. So it was, but the point is the republicans loved it
and weren't angered at all about it, and infact used it to discredit Clinton's presidency. Were it true, it represents the same insuborination the freepers are trying to get the soldiers in Iraq court marshalled for.

13. Military Officers "Silence" Bill Clinton
The officer professional honor code taught at West Point for over 100 years is:
" A cadet (and Officer) does not lie, cheat, or steal, OR TOLERATE ANYONE WHO
DOES"
As an admitted liar and quibbler, the military officer corps of all services
should now invoke their professional support of the Honor Code and "Silence"
Bill Clinton. Silencing includes but is not limited to: Refusing to
communicate by any means with him, refusing to provide him with any information
other than that directly ordered, refusal to carry out any and all requests of
an unofficial and ordered nature. Remember that an officers oath of office to
support and defend the constitution of the United States, and Obey the Orders
of Superior Officers is also limited to those orders that......

4. Speaking of sexual conduct...
what about the whoring that Joseph Cur(l) is doing for the prestigious Washington Times! Great work, Joe, you asshole...
Funny, I didn't see anything quoted from GIs in Iraq. No 'HOOAH' from Bush in front of assembled troops in Baghdad. Oh wait, Bush hasn't actually been there on the ground, has he? He did do a flyover in AirForce One. That must have been great for morale.
"Bush is a dog-faced soldier"??? Shit-faced upper class twit, maybe?

11. From WorldnetDaily: Military won't miss Clinton
As has been widely reported by WND and other cutting-edge
publications, one of the main reasons Army juniors are taking
their walking papers is because they're sick and tired of being
sent to every third-world toilet -- for no good reason -- every
time this administration needs a bump in the polls or needs to
hide another scandal.
Overdeployment, underfunding, arrogance and a lack of respect for
military ways and traditions have led some of our best officers
and senior enlisted personnel out the door since 1993. This is
talent we cannot replace simply by signing up new bodies; the
level of experience these men and women have taken with them was
hard-fought and won and cannot be taught in officer's training
school or advanced non-commissioned officer training.
Ultimately, this nation will suffer for allowing such abuse of
our armed forces. What other institution is designed to defend
us?.........

12. Time for a re-write!
Let's see...

Resident Putsch, after 2 1/2 years, has completely lost the respect
and admiration of the military, even though his predecessor treated the Armed forces with respect, although Clinton's "Dont' Ask Don't Tell" policy was a fiasco.
Resident Putsch has not made good on promised pay raises for soldiers. Resident Putsch broke promises on fewer deployments.

Resident Putsch, who went AWOL in the Texas National Guard pilot, spent lots of hard earned money staging photo-ops.

14. These guys believe the propaganda
Bush deserted after getting a plum post. Bush's operations on behalf of Halliburton has the military acting as security for Halliburton. They are getting killed at an alarming rate. Their pay has been cut, their families on food stamps, the reserves called up. Bet the morons vote for Bush again.

15. I recently bought Hillary's book
and it has a lot of pictures.

I marvelled at the pictures of Bill Clinton -- always stood erect, fantastic bearing, very snappy and presidential.

And Bush fumbles and trips over his fucking dog and slams his head on the door of his helicopter.

So much for remedial "saluting".
