J. C. Watts -- you're a deluded, self-hating wannabe
I was part of that wild and crazy Class of '94 that shook the political landscape by taking over the House after more than 50 years of unfettered Democrat control. We came to Washington full of ideals and conviction.

But sadly, what they say about absolute power is coming to reality in the 2005 GOP Washington. Republicans in just 10 years have developed the arrogance it took the Democrats 30 years to develop.

But you know, in spite of the very real arrogance displayed by my party in Washington in the years since taking the House, Senate and White House, I firmly believe the Republicans have a real chance to rebound simply because our Democrat friends just don't get it.

1. Liar! The Dems controlled the house for 40 years when the GOP...

2. He almost sounds like he regrets it
Then slaps himself and says, yeah they just don't get it.

Self-serving bullshit. He misses the spotlight and the cameras.

What a hypocrite.

They got in, made history and instead of doing good...fucked it all up and reneged on 9 points of the contract....to boot.

They were supposed to stay for ONE TERM and instead have dropped anchors....WTF?

6. J.C why don't you just
shut up, your not in congress anymore and you have no polticial clout anymore. so just go back to doing what you do best.

As for our party, I think we may have a chance a taking over, just as long as we produce strong candidates to take on incumbents and the republicans keep shooting themselves in the leg and we get our word across that we are a good party and not monsters. we could be fine.

9. J.C.'s still wondering why he never gets invited to the GOP golf outings
They would always assign him some "important committee meeting" to chair when they went off golfing at their "NO Blacks allowed" golf clubs.

11. Masta had to get that whip out
You see how J.C. was starting to make some sense in the second paragraph. I can only imagine Masta smacking him with the whip a couple of times to put him back in place. J.C. Watts and his kind are a dying breed. Black people have no use for their self loathing, judgmental, all mighty, crap. We've had enough of that shit and that shit sure in the hell didn't help the black people in New Orleans. With an approval rating of 6% among black people I think J.C. Watts should just shut the hell up.

Maybe in his next infomercial he should start advertising himself to Republican politicians. I can see it now "Hi I'm J.C. Watts you can rent my black for for the low price of $29.99 for your next Republican get together. "Rent me Americas most famous house Negro". His crap is old and tired already :eyes:

14. But not as good as people want to believe
Edited on Thu Nov-03-05 11:47 PM by Awsi Dooger
I was a huge Sooner fan throughout the wishbone era. J.C. Watts was no better than the 5th best wishbone quarterback Oklahoma had, behind Jack Mildren, Jamelle Holloway, Steve Davis and Thomas Lott.

I guess I have to put him 5th because he won two Orange Bowls, but frankly I think a couple of other guys who had brief starting roles were better. Watts was quick but he had no speed. He ended up pitching to Billy Sims all the time because he was too slow to turn the corner like some of the other QBs would have managed.

15. I remember him and Billy Sims the most during that time...
Not that I'm any expert, but I thought he was about average, too. He was still a better player than a politician ;)

17. JC Watts should listen to his father
A black man voting for a Republican makes as much sense as a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.

19. In Oklahoma
He is not well-respected at ALL by the African-American community here, especially the young people. His only real following in the Black community is in the fundie areas. I have heard him called "uncle J.C" on many occasions. I met many a bright young, African-American student at OSU, some are going into politics...I hope we see them soon!!!

21. Et tu, JC?
IIRC, he didn't run for Congress again was because he got tired of being dissed by his GOP associates. Now, he's back doing the dancing bear act, performing for the party that hates his guts.

Someday, he'll get tired of

22. Democrats don't get it, its true.
I'm a Democrat, and I don't get it.

I don't get how Republicans can contend that Bush is a great president, in spite of his record of failure.

I don't get how Republicans can say that they are fiscally conservative, considering the record deficits they have forced on this country.

I don't get how Republicans can say that Bush is a leader, considering his chronic laziness and his tendency to take long and frequent vacations.

I don't get how Republicans can call themselves patriots, since their policies have damaged millions of American lives.

I don't get how Republicans can claim that they embrace moral and family values, considering how they have worked for years to cut education and make conditions harder and harder for families to make it.

I don't get how Republicans can say they support the troops when they won't even provide for the the most basic essentials.

I don't even understand how Republicans can look at themselves in the mirror.

I am a Democrat. And, honestly, I don't "get it". Its true.

I am proud that I don't.
