Milbank Says Too Much
For this political "reporter", nothing -not war, high crime, high water, or rampant corruption rotting the government into a shriveled hull of its former self- *nothing* holds a candle to a story about people gettin' a little sumpin' sumpin'. Ah, the good old days. It's all down hill from here!

From a WP chat...

Austin, Tex.: Dana - Thanks for taking the time to do these chats! Question: Are you having the time of your life right now in political reporting? What other stories in your career have reached this level of interest and speculation?

P.S. - Will anyone do time?

Dana Milbank: Thanks for the question, Mr. DeLay.

It is hard to imagine a better political story than the Miers/Fitzgerald/DeLay trifecta. On the other hand, after you've covered the president having an affair outside the Oval Office with a thong-wearing intern, you must accept the fact that the rest of your career will be anticlimactic.

6. This guy is treated so deferentially, but this reveals his true colors
His Kool Kid cynicism has spoiled him as a journalist.

7. I never bother with his garbage
he lost credibility a long time ago, as has the WP on the whole. No wonder newspaper sales are down ~ Dana Millbank is out of touch with the mainstream of America.

I know this will come as a terrible shock to him, but the vast majority of mature adults, and in fact young adults and even teenagers, actually care way more about dead soldiers, dying for a lie, and dead civilians, than they do about prying into the private affairs of public figures. They care more about our torturing people, and the maimed who will live forever with the reminder of this war, while Dana still dreams of Monica.

He sure said a mouthful about himself there. Not just his incidious and depraved, Jr. High mindset, but about his humanity as a whole. It's hard to believe that any decent person would could consider a boring private affair, to be so pivotal that as a journalist it could not be topped even by a tragic war, a treasonous administration, or, if he's into prurient sexual fantasies, the presence in this WH of a male prostitute, propagandist, posing as a reporter.

I put him in the same category as Judith Miller. I wonder who he works for, because he certainly doesn't have any skills as a journalist, and his agenda as a propagandist for this administration has been obvious for quite a while.

Maybe it's time to question him as to whether or not he is on the government's payroll. People like him have killed journalism, and driven so many away from print media forever.

I wonder how long it has been since Dana had sex? That man needs something to occupy his mind if he still salivating over Clinton's private life. How sad, and what an empty life he must have.

8. Hey, that's a good piece of writing there ...
It's spot-on. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Rather the preach to the choir here, I think you should send it to the WP.
