Did anyone else see photo of Scalio, his family and Frist by Rosa Parks
paying their respects?

It was such an obvious photo op, it was pathetic. I'll see if I can find it.

1. They do not deserve to be on the same planet as Mrs. Parks
much less be in the same room with her.

2. That woman had more courage in ten minutes than those men will ever have
in their lifetimes...

3. Of course, she wasn't the first
That honor goes to another young black woman who refused to give up her seat at the front of the bus in Montgomery a few months before Ms. Parks. The civil rights folks, however, refused to use her as a "face" of the issue because she was unmarried and pregnant.

Just as courageous, but now lost to the dustbin of history.

7. Neither did I until today
Saw a link on buzzflash.com. IIRC, it's "The Real Rosa Parks" or something similar. The article itself was about how Ms. Parks wasn't just "resting her dogs" on the bus that day, but had been involved in the civil rights movement for months, and attended training seminars, etc. The story about the other woman was included there; I don't recall if the author gives her name.

They look like they could give two shits who they're standing in front of.

It's so obviously a photo op. Why else would he be there with Frist and his family.
