This is the reason Jimmy Carter is persona non grata at the White House
Dumbya never calls upon the still vigorous 80 year old Carter to team up with Poppy on their humanitarian ventures or any other events. The reason? Carter continues to be a thorn in the side of the Bush Administration.

Carter says it's clear that the administration "manipulated" Iraq intelligence to mislead the American people in supporting the invasion of Iraq and removal of Hussein--and that the real purpose was to make up for the first President Bush for not taking out Saddam when he was president.

He also supports the action the Senate took yesterday in forcing the issue of Iraqi intelligence because the GOP was "dragging their feet."

2. He really is a truth speaker isn't he?
He gave one of the best speeches at the convention last year. He really gave it to them. It was a great speech.

9. It was excellent! I just tried to find it (I've downloaded it, but it's
temporarily lost!) to post excerpts...he can only be truthful. Carter is a wonderful human being IMHO.

13. Strangely enough, I have his speech on file
I downloaded a bunch of the DNC texts of speeches, his included, and haven't gotten around to cleaning out my files. If you want, I can PM it to you.

God bless Jimmy Carter

15. You are so sweet Hekate! That would be great. I still can't find mine,
and I've not tried to locate them yet on the internet. As I type, Carter is on in the background speaking on LKL. I love him so much, and agree with almost everything he says.

5. Also, Carter is interested in actions that will be immediately useful
Fundraising by itself is nice, but it all depends how it will be used afterwards.

8. Carter Live on Larry King Tonight
As I recall Larry's teaser, Jimmy is supposed to be challenging the religious extremists in America.

10. And this is why, if we are having a boy, that we will name him
either Carter Dean or Dean Carter.

Carter because I love that man! and Dean because my hubby and I met while working on the Dean campaign.

20. At 80 Pres. Carter is more articulate than Dumbya ever was
Please have a look at this interview from the Today Show (I know) this morning. He really opens up on the bush* administration and has quite a bit to say.
