Where were you when Harry Reid closed the Senate yesterday?
Me, I was on my way to work listening to our local AAR affiliate(1530-WCKY) and at about 3:30 pm Ed Shultz came on the air and announced the move made by Reid. I about wrecked my fucking truck from the combination of shock and joy that overwhelmed me in that moment.

had DU open and did a refresh - immediately displayed level 3. I took that as a cue something was up and hit the news sites.

my arm is killing me, still! Well, I can now say I've done that in my life, and I can also say, NEVER AGAIN.

Once I finished, I checked DU and couldn't believe what was going on in the senate! Happily surprised.

18. I had been watching C-span
but then left the room to do something about 2 minutes before it happened. I stopped to check DU on my way to continue watching the proceedings and all hell had broken loose. Believe it or not, that is how I exist. DU, run to TV, back to DU, back to tele. DU lets me know who I should be watching and when.......DU is the most "on the spot happening place" that EXISTS!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE DU!

27. Glued to DU
Hopelessly, like an addict, I flailed between internet and tv. I EVEN watched CNN, again. That's twice in 20 years. I don't think I can do it again. This political excitement isn't good for my health. It's great!
