10. Ashcroft and Frist were shown at one of the memorial services this

weekend on C-Span, and they were shown as the entire congregation sang 'We Shall Overcome..' Everyone was really getting into to it EXCEPT Asscraft and Frist...the contrast was hysterical. If I had the capacity and know-how, I'd like to find that clip and send it to TDS or Keith. Did anyone else see this? I was crying and laughing at the same time.

It's not surprising that they give a warm welcome to the last president who actually gave a damn about them. I know it just scrolls the nurds of the TV talking chuckleheads, but black people seem to know a lot better than they do where their interests lie, and who is truly looking out for them and on their side.

I found that interesting.

There is unquestionably a good 'vibe' in this little corner of the country today, with an assemblage of courageous human beings only a few miles away from me. It's like a little on-ramp to Heaven has opened up for a short time and the sun is shining down as our pothole-ridden city looks up, if just for a moment, to honor one of the gifts of Goodness that has blessed us.
