2. Here, TG:
Babel Fish Translation

Operation Northwoods

US PLANNED FAKE TERROR ATTACKS ON CITIZENS
TO CREATE SUPPORT FOR CUBAN WAR

From BODY OF SECRETS, James Bamford, Doubleday, 2001, p.82 and following.
Scanned and edited by NY Transfer News.
...In Lemnitzer's view, the country would be far better off if the generals could take over.

For those military officers who were sitting on the fence, the Kennedy administration's botched Bay of Pigs invasion was the last straw. "The Bay of Pigs fiasco broke the dike," said one report at the time. "President Kennedy was pilloried by the super patriots as a 'no-win' chief . . . The Far Right became a fount of proposals born of frustration and put forward in the name of anti-Communism. . . Active-duty commanders played host to anti-Communist seminars on their bases and attended or addressed Right-wing meetings elsewhere."

3. Hmmmmm
So is this an arguement that before you will shake hands with anybody they need to accept Mihop?

Or are you saying that Bush is crazy enough we need to argue for a military coup?

or what, precisely?

4. It's not an argument at all....just a welcome.
As more and more people become aware, I would just like to add to their knowledge of exactly what they have been missing in the last 5 years when they were distracted for whatever reason...Paris Hilton, Survivor, Hurricanes, whatever.

5. You'd like to indoctrinate them into your worldview you mean?
Good luck.

6. Yes
Indoctrinate them into the real world view. Too many of them don't have a clue, and the Northwoods operation is a good first clue.

Yeah, we welcome moderates and somewhat tolerate conservatives.... but regressives? We kick regressive asses down the road.

7. Because you guys are ideologues
Can't tolerate differences of opinion.

Kind of like the Limbaugh Conservative, when you think about it.

8. Opinions...yes
Facts? No. The facts is there exists, within the government, a faction that would do anything to get and hold power.

Do you, Bryant, have an opinion on that fact? Are there any bad guys in the government, or do you feel they are all wise and glorious? What is your ideology?

9. Good question, asked condescendingly
It's not like my opinions aren't a matter of open record.

I don't buy MIHOP (which is largely built on speculation, not facts) and I'm willing to concede LIHOP as a possibility, but I strongly doubt it.

Are there people in the Government who want power? Duh. All the people in government want power.

Are their badguys in government? Is Bush still in the White House? Frist and Delay doing their thing? Cause those guys count as Bad guys, don't they?

But back to your question - that's par for hte course isn't it? I don't agree 100% with your ideology so something must be done about me. That's the ideologue way.

10. You didn't answer the question
What is your ideology?

You don't agree with mine 100% so something must be done about me, eh? You label anyone who disagress with you as an ideologue? What is that supposed to mean? I take it as an attack. What gives you the right to attack, while claiming the high ground?

Here is an easy question: What do you think about Northwoods?

11. Seems like conspiracy theorist crap to me
I don't put much faith in it.

This post is in response to another post that suggests that we get on with moderates and conservatives if we can find common ground against the Insanity of the Bush Administration. You, on the other hand, would greet them with an opportunity for them to accept your beliefs on this Northwoods stuff. What happens if a moderate says "Yeah, that doesn't make sense to me. Let's focus on how the Bush administration outed valerie plame (or are trying to remake America through the courts)."

Hmmmmm. My ideology.

Let me leave a quote or two from H.L.Mencken.

"The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all."

“It is inaccurate to say that I hate everything. I am strongly in favor of common sense, common honesty, and common decency. This makes me forever ineligible for public office.”

12. Northwoods is history
It's not a belief. It's an historic document. Now, if you are such an ideologue that you are wanting to trash history because it doesn't conform to your belief, and attack people who hold that history up as an indicator of the possibilities, then all I can say is your stance along side Limbaugh's is all the indication someone needs to determine your ideology, eh?

Thanks for answering the question.

13. Ah you perhaps misunderstood
I'm not saying it didn't happen; although I'd like more than one indication that it happened.

What I think is crap is the inferences you are requiring me to make based on that incident.

Nice that anybody who disagrees with your viewpoint is an ally of Limbaugh - must make your life much easier.

14. Up against the wall
You are the one quoting Limbaugh, not me.

You, sir, it is now quite evident, are willing to use any thing in order to win your argument, whatever that argument is. That is the very definition of an ideologue. You have painted yourself into a corner.

You may have the last word. Goodbye.

For example, what did you mean by "you guys"?

17. I apologize
I do slip that way sometimes. I should have said "You believers in MIHOP" which would be more clear and less sexist.
