Plamegate is rooted in a Constitutional crisis.
Bush is suppose to have taken us to "war" on false pretenses. But you know, we are really not at war, we are merely in a military conflict. War was never declared and that is the real issue here. The war powers of the Congress have gone by the boards because, like all good bureaucrats, that body does not want the responsibility. The blood of US soldiers and Iraqis is on Congresses hands and the Congress must be required to declare war. The Constitution has not been followed since WWII when it comes to war it is the Congress that has allowed the war powers to slip out of their hands so that we now have presidential wars.

The Constitution is in tatters.War powers must be restored to the Congress

2. They lied to Congress
Quit twisting this into shit to blame Democrats instead of Bush. They lied to Congress, repeatedly, case closed.

3. On one level, you're right. On another level, though,
it doesn't matter whether Bush took us to war or to a saloon fight. He did it on the basis of a series of deliberate lies, betrayed his responsibilities to the nation, got 2000 kids killed, blew 200 bil, and allowed the illegal enrichment of his cronies. People are maybe thinking they have a right to be a little irked with a leader that did that.

4. Yep - the families of dead soldiers don't give a damn
what you call this war - they only know their loved ones are gone forever because those bastards lied.

5. Thanks for focusing this. This is precisely why it
is so vital to follow the Constitution. If a declaration had been required before military action then Bush's lies would have been revealed when Congress investigated the case Bush presented.
Bush was allowed to get away with the lie because of the lack rigor in the investigation phase.
