Come speculate--What actually went on during the closed session?
What are your best guesses? It had to be stuff that wasn't in the publicly available statements. Did the Dems lay out some bombshell data to compel the Puggies into opening Phase II?

Were Senators shown on TV leaving the session? Any interesting expressions, grimaces, etc.?

C'mon, DUers. To the tea leaves, to the Tarot cards, to the Magic 8-balls. What happened?

1. I'd like to think that certain names were mentioned
such as KKKarl Rove, with hard questions about why he hasn't been investigated for his role in creating the fiction that lead to the war.

2. The Repugs cried and whined and moaned and groaned and
Reid still won!!!

Proving Democrats can grow a spine and develop courage against the Smear Machine

8. Holeeeeeeeeee shit--that prospect triggers some damn
wonderful fantasies.

Maybe they got a lecture on who did all the short selling on 9/11, on the AF stand-down, etc.

16. WE CAN ONLY HOPE!
Now, I ain't been near a TV in a while (which, I say is good, since most TV sucks!) but, he'p me out here, was that clip of Fritz (whiny little ho!) crying to mommy BEFORE or AFTER the closed door session!?
If it was AFTER, then, OH DAMN! WE KNOW NOW, THEY MUST HAVE THE REPUKES BY THE SHORT AND CURLY HAIRS!!!!!!!!

17. Wonderful question, great point, but I share your TV habits so
I'm the wrong person to ask. Now you have me wondering, though.

18. If it were the CIA, it could have been an impact report on the disclosure
Letting the Senate know about how many CIA assets had been damaged in the callous leaking of Plame's name. I believe the damage reports after an officer is outed are called post mortems.

19. Actually, that very thought crossed my mind.
But I don't necessarily think this has specifically to do with the Wilson case. You could easily be right, though.

7. I think the dems have something...
you don't walk into a closed session against a majority opponent without something substantial in your pocket to bargin with.

I'm thinking that there may be some torture related orders that may be linked to the WH or negotiation for damage control on Plamegate that may spare turd blossom.

Thanks, Junk.

Leaves me wondering one thing, though. Aren't the Puggies being pretty stupid with their charges of grandstanding, etc.? Aren't they taking the risk of a more public exposure of what went on? At least in general terms, e.g. "Don't pay any attention to Frist. The CIA came in & showed us evidence implicating Bush in 9-11; sorry, we can't give you details right now, but you'll no doubt be hearing more about this during the impeachment proceedings, provided you vote in a Democratic Congress to clean house."

13. Bill Frist cried like a little baby and Reid told him to go to his room.
Then Frist looked for more cats to kill, but there were none so he cried even louder.

15. My tea leaves
indicate either Reid was informed of something about to go down or additional evidence surfaced regarding MIHOP (possibly a future MIHOP?). Had to be something HUGE! Could Fitz have ran across evidence unrelated to Wilson that he informed congress about? Oh, my tea leaves definately point to something HUGE! I wish I could have been there to hear it all happen......... I wonder if the tularemia attack was investigated? Oh, my imagination could run wild regarding what led to this!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
