When your the Minority, there is not much you can do. I believe they were waiting for the right time to pounce. The closer to the election the better.

8. Reagan: Iran Contra, tax cuts that weren't cuts, national debt bigger
than all previous national debts combined. There are probably more things. The Democrats didn't do much to stop this. Didn't even persue Reagan when he was done with his term. One senator said "we let him ride off into the sunset".

Bush1 - Gulf War 1 - started on lies. 1/2 of veterans are now on disability because of depleted uranium (most people think). Continued with raising the national debt. Democrats didn't investigate or stop any of this.

Clinton - total silence from the Democrats for 8 years while the repubs spent $70 million to find something on Clinton. They only thing they could get him on was a blow job.

6. They acted with dignity. They were blindsided by the organized
campaign of dirty politics that the Repubs honed during the Clinton years. But they watched and they learned and they will never forget. The war has just begun!

10. For 25 years they acted with dignity? They couldn't see what the
repubs were up to? Now that our country is dying (or dead) they're starting a war? Over the decades, a lot of people have "dropped out" of the political process because the government screws all but the rich and there was no way the interests of the average person was represented. I have said for decades "whose side are the Democrats on?" Let's see how far the "war" goes.

3. They've showed spines before, but end up backing down or going
with the repub tide. I would be nice to see a real opposition party in action.

7. Want to see them front, not back
This was a step in that direction.
