After the initial report was completed, Senator Jay Rockefeller said “It was clear to all of us in this room who were watching that, and to many others, that they had made up their mind that they were going to go to war. After over a year of sandbagging, Senator Ried decided that it was finally time to demand action to move forward and uncover the truth behind the leadup to the war in Iraq. Senator Rockefeller publically admitted that the dicision to go to war was already made up in many minds. And we know that is true from as far back as before Bush was elected in 2000. The list of facts is growing. It should be as no surprise to anyone by now, that there is a connection between the indictments handed up to Mr. Libby are connected to the war started by the Bush administration. I suggest people do some searching for the paper titled Project for the New American Century. It is not unrelated, and in fact is actively supported by more than just Mr. Libby. It is the blueprint by which we have found ourselves embroiled in the Middle East. It is no longer the thing of extreme thinking liberals. The situation we find ourselves in today is a grave danger for our country and for all Americans. Not just those of a political party. We owe it to the children who will inherit this country to be honest, and truthful. And it does not stop there. We owe it to the people who are under our military might. There will be more calls for tax breaks so they can reap windfall profits. As most of them are well banked abroad, the suffering here at home, many enjoy dual citizenship with other countries and have their money invested in US corporations doing business abroad to avoid the taxes here. Lots of off-shore accounts can no doubt be traced directly to these countries and therefore their stock holders.
