Everytime the Democrats do something against the Repubs they ...
meaning: pundits and reporters all talking heads try to say the dems can't say anything because they voted for the war. I say bullshit! They say everybody believed it. What in the hell does that have to do with it, Bush and his buddies told a damn lie! They always say Clinton said it and Albright. Who is the damn President, who told us a damn lie. Why is everyone afraid to say this, did clinton look at the intelligence at that time. No!

1. Using that logic, we'll just stay in Iraq from now 'til kingdom come.
It's going to be a LONG time before so many new senators come in that a majority of them didn't vote for the war.

2. Exactly - It is Bullshit
The fact that they were MISLED into voting to give BUSH the right to go to war, when all else had been exhausted, gives them double the right. It is a necessity that they "say" whatever needs to be said to get to the truth.

Friggin morons.

5. I didn't believe it.
And even if "everybody" did, why is it THEIR fault that Bush and his buddies LIED about the threat?

6. Bush said it was a vote for peace
This is exactly why framing this vote as a vote for war was such a stupid stupid stupid mistake. Bush said at the time that it wasn't a vote for war, that it was a unified voice to force Iraq to comply with the UN resolutions. That's what HE said it was. We let them get away with reframing the vote which let Bush off the hook for diplomacy, his war lies, planning for war while pretending to be seeking peace, DSM, all of it. Every time we get close to hanging this on Bush, some dumbass falls for the stupid "voted for the war" line and more often than not it's a dumbass on the left. What Clinton and Albright knew in 1998 had absolutely nothing to do with anything because Clinton bombed the damned country and likely destroyed the WMD when he did it.

New Talking Point. Clinton destroyed the WMD in 1998.

9. Bush VIOLATED the IWR when he wouldn't let inspectors finish.
The Dems who supported IWR wanted inspections first so war could be avoided.

No Democrat, not even Lieberman, would have invaded Iraq after weapons inspections were in progress and proving successful.
