For the first time in four years, the Democrats are playing OFFENSE
Edited on Tue Nov-01-05 04:28 PM by tgnyc
* tries to change the subject with a SCOTUS nomination, so the very next day, the Dems bring it right back, and in dramatic fashion, no less!

A very impressive example of strategic timing. Of bringing a gun to a gunfight. Of, as they say in playground ball, taking it to the hole.

One week ago, I would not have imagined the Democrats had this in them, so supine and accomodationist their stance had been. For the first time in four years, the Democrats are playing offense. And it feels so good, so right.

Welcome back. We missed you.

Carpe diem!

5. Not quite. Barbara Boxer objected to Ohio's electoral votes in January.
The Republicans responded in similar fashion, yelling, "Scoreboard," "Sore Loserman," and everything else they could think of rather than address the issues they themselves created.

7. But it wasn't a coordinated effort across the leadership
She shouldn't been out there by herself, or with only Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones by her side. That press conference should have been Boxer, Hillary, Kennedy, Biden, Schumer, Obama etc. saying "we the Democrats challenge these electors"

8. Oh yes it was.
Hillary spoke on the floor of the Senate in favor of it.
