Why are the Dems so affraid to say it was a MISTAKE to vote "Yes"
Edited on Tue Nov-01-05 03:49 PM by Roxy66
I love that they are finally taking a stand, but the newsies are already saying it's an empty attack....because as recently as this weekend big name Dems wont say they made a mistake for voting "yes" before the war. Why wont they say they were lied to and wish they could take their votes back. I DONT GET IT!!!!

Matthews even cut Dean off promptly when he made supporting statements about it last night. Media is sticking to the narrative that Dems are offering no plans on Iraq. It's BULLSHIT.

8. Stop getting trapped in the goddamned vote
Stick to Bush's lies and refusal to commit to no bases in Iraq and a turnover timeframe. Don't fight in their ring.

Just because they aren't doing it exactly the way you think they should doesn't mean they aren't doing it. HELP or get the fuck out of the way.

9. That's Schumer. Media passes over entire Iraq speech and withdrawal plan
from Kerry and mutes any Dem who speaks in support of Kerry's plan.

This general use of the word Dems just feeds the RW media machine lies when they should be held accountable.

3. I'm with you -- especially as more info comes out about how it was lies
It's forgivable to have been conned into voting yes -- they didn't have VERIFIED intel, and they were duped. They should ALL come out and say that (put the blame on ShrubCo).

Just like he pretends not to know the difference between resolving the war in a timely manner and staying forever like Bush wants to do.

13. By comparison, I'd say Democrats are far less afraid than republicans...
...to admit when they are wrong. I agree that more Dems should just apologize, but I'm too busy getting excited that they've gotten off their fucking asses and have done something to care too much about this now.
