...and I'm afraid that as the chimp interjects himself into this serious subject--that many will erroneously believe that bird flu is nothing.

Chimp needs to shut up about bird flu. He's using the "fear factor" to distract everyone from his last 4,000 screw ups.

I've been reading about bird flu for more than a year. This is a very serious medical and scientific issue. This administration has been dead silent on bird flu for months. They didn't do the necessary things to really prepare and safeguard this nation, should a pandemic happen. They'll use any issue to scare people, but they haven't done anything to ensure that there is enough Tamiflu to go around. We've missed that boat.

He doesn't care about bird flu. He'll use any topic to scare everyone into becoming his frightened dependents. What a jerk.

Don't listen to anything he says about bird flu. Same with terrorism. Bird flu and terrorism are serious issues. WE need to be prepared (I purchased Tamiflu). However, this administration has no credibility and no business speaking authoritatively on this subject.

Be informed. Be prepared. However, don't listen to anything Bush says. Read the science and prepare to be on your own if a pandemic hits.

We all saw how well they handled the NOLA residents who only needed bottled water and a few crackers. These aren't the kinds of clowns we need protecting us all from a pandemic.

Because even if there's nothing to bird flu, there might be something to the "handling" of it.
