My Theory On Fitzgerald's Actions So Far.
I've got a hypothesis, although of course it's no better than any other theory.

One has to assume that the "Motions" which were supposedly filed with the Magistrate Judge, were in fact "Sealed Indictments." Let's say that Fitzgerald has secured an indictment against Libby for some sort of "Outing" or "Conspiracy" charge. He proceeds to dangle that over Libby's head for the next few days, and unless Irving agrees to cooperate and provide more information, Fitzgerald is going to unseal the indictment prior to his arraignment on Thursday. Just a little added pressure on Libby to come clean, before he's in even deeper Doo Doo than he is now.

Let's go further and hypothesize that one of those sealed indictments has rover's name on it. Perhaps an "obstruction" charge....maybe more?

If you really wanted to go into dreamland, you could read something into the visit by Fitzgerald to the president's attorney. Of course, this is something of apparently monumental proportions that would be a constitutional crisis, if somehow Fitzgerald was notifying Shrub's attorney that he was a "target" of the investigation...or even that he might be indicted by that very GJ.

If Libby gets another indictment by the end of this week, there could be some plausability to my scenario. Fitzgerald could then go after rover, and so on and so on.....

1. I'm not sure what that visit was for... it's held the Prez can't be
indicted by the executive branch itself... and it'd take a hell of a novel legal theory to make it happen...

2. Sealed indictments
They're only kept sealed so that the defendant can't flee the jurisdiction. That's all, and that's not an issue with any of the principals in this matter, so there are no sealed indictments, because the concept is not applicable here.

All we can do is wait for whatever Fitzgerald has to say next.

Until then, no one knows anything.

4. Friday Morning
Friday morning, before the indictments were filed with the magistrate....Fitzgerald paid a personal visit to Shrub's legal attorney in this matter. Nobody knows why, only that it took place that morning.

Could have been as simple as to notify him about Libby's indictment....perhaps more.

6. Was this verified?
The report I read was that Fitzgerald was seen outside of the attorney's office that morning. Whether or not he had actually been inside meeting with him was not determined.

Thanks.
