Traitorgate might as well be Watergate.

Nada!

If the convicted felons of Iran/Contra are living succesful lives now (Ollie North, etc.) why will this have any real consequences?

The right has learned from the past in many ways.

2. The most ridiculous thing was when...
that guy said "forget about the indictments."

5. Cordry reminded me of that fish in the tank on "Finding Nemo"
that would chase the bubbles. Come to think of it, most of the reporters in the MSM are "in the tank".

7. The media is not "sucked" into anything. It goes where it needs to go
to protect its corporate owners and their corporate-owned government. It does no good to pretend the media would like to do the job required of it to maintain a vibrant democracy. That's the last thing it wants.

8. You don't think Alito's nomination
Edited on Tue Nov-01-05 08:24 AM by insane_cratic_gal
wasn't timed to be as "convenient" as it was.

Nominate a hard ass conservative (who has a privacy record and discrimination record) and suddenly the left and the right are arguing over it, forgetting the little Scooter who could.

It's deliberate, and a weak man's move to rally whatever is left of his support to his side, for the coming trial.

On edit: It also gives the media something else to focus on.

Did you see Tweety yesterday? He's right back in line with the rest. Actually I'm not sure he ever got out of the line.
