The most stupid people in America live inside the Beltway and talk
to each other on Sunday mornings on national television

But they're the cool kids

And the rest of us aren't

So they get to be the most stupid people in America who talk to each other on tv on a Sunday morning while the rest of us watch

They're cool

get it?

It's the only reason they are allowed on tv

1. It seems the reality within the beltway in no way relates to the
reality most of Americans live within. I agree there is a certain kind of 'elitism' among them which translates to talking down to all those not in the 'know'. It only goes to prove, yet again, they have no idea about the real world, they assume they can spew lies and they will be bought without question. It is actually fascinating, in a macabre way.

10 times yesterday.

5. HEY!!! WATCH THAT!
We have a place inside the Beltway. Ten minutes from the Pentagon, fifteen from the Kennedy Center, four million light years from the White House.

We're not cool, though.

There are others like us.

Live in fear.

7. Yes you are
Just in an altogether different way.

Like inverse cool. or negative cool.

Which is still good.

We avoid the other cool kids -but we tape notes to their backs that say "Kick me - I lied."

So there's that.

8. We ARE?
We're the ones who cancel their car insurance when they're not looking, huh?

We have more fun than they do - I forgot that.

Thanks for the catch.

6. Yep. They're living in a time warp where they think their
coctails parties and power lunches are the know all, be all and end all of everything that occurs in and outside the beltway. Their ignorance of what goes on outside the beltway is stunning.

9. Several of these programs air in this market at the same time,
so I channel surf......

I don't know which station I was watching this morning, but someone said that the problem with second terms is that the President and the WH personnel live in a bubble and don't know what's going on in the 'real world'.

Well, I think these idiots share that bubble - they don't have a friggin clue either. Particularly the 'political' pundits. These people have NO CLUE!!!! Every time I hear George Will proclaim "The econmy is NOT doing badly. I don't know where these stories are coming from..." I want to slap him upside the head with a two by four and bring him in from fairytale land so he can see where these stories originate.
