Besieged Bush faces attacks from friends as well as foes
http://observer.guardian.co.uk/international/story/0,6903,1604573,00.html

These are times of deep crisis in America. The stunning image of FBI agents scouring the most exclusive suburbs of Washington, just a mile or so from the White House, sums up the mood of fear, paranoia and siege mentality now gripping the Bush administration.

16. Thanks, Bush! (singing) "You make me feel so young,
You make me feel like spring has sprung..."

And when you resign, and I see you and Laura waving goodbye that last time, from the steps to Air Force One, I'll feel like I've been reborn.

4. oooooooohhhhhhhh
I like this part:

>> The formerly watertight Bush White House is starting to leak badly, revealing an inside picture of a President furious at the way his second term has collapsed around him and unwilling to blame himself for any of the disasters. Bush has always had a temper, but now reports of furious tirades against senior staff, and even of rows between Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney, have begun to emerge. <<<

Next?

6. He needs put away in a rubber room, where he isn't a danger to
himself or anyone else. The republicans on capitol hill also have much to answer for. They have wrecked the country and half of the world.

7. you're right
They'll have to take action. They cannot allow this to continue for it will finish every one of them off politically. For this reason, many are now "firing back" as they say.

It is run now while you can get away before you too have shit on your shoe.

I expect to see more. That is just my opinion for what it is worth.

Fitzgerald DID rent an office in Washington didn't he? And for why?

That is what I want to know.

12. The OP said...
"paranoia and siege mentality now gripping the Bush administration."

And Saint Shrub has the keys to Armageddon, twirling them round and round, and talking about his next invasion. I'm glad Hitler never had the thermonuclear arsenal, that the mad monk has at his finger tips now.

I think in a stand up, knock down, drag out, @$$ whoopin,' between snarlin' Dick Cheney and smirkin' Prince pResidunce, the shrub might win one for a change, but I wouldn't swear to anything, cause I see where swearin' got sCooter.

Sounds to me like, our ever reluctant warrior from down Crawford way, is about ready to take to the old Fuhrer bunker for a spell, till things cool down. Lame Duck and Cover Bushco, is on lert 24/7. Gas prices are finally falling slowly, after the oil companies raped the public for a dollar or more a gallon , for the last six months. Poll numbers in freefall even with varmints of his own kind. Cindy at the gates. The FBI and the wolf at the back door. Storms and rumors of storms. The stock market bubbling and gasping. Iraq boiling over the borders. People still losing jobs, or working for less money and benefits, if they still have a job. He's tired of calling Rush, Ann, and Rev. Foulwill to find out what to do next. And now even his Colon Bowell is acting up on him.

I don't think it will be long before he and Eva...err...I mean Laura, pack up and head for the bunker. If you see the Jim Beam truck near the bunker, you'll know he's ready to rumble some more.

JR. might not make it to the bunker,(hidey hole)because everybody in the world but him knows, that he knows not his @$$, from a hole in the ground.

God really gave up on Bush, when God told him to go forth and multiply and Bush couldn't tell him what the answer was for 1X1=.

10. Wouldn't you like to be a fly on the wall for a fight between
Bush and Cheney?

I'd actually pay good money to see that

8. I want to know what the FBI was doing questioning the neighbors--do
they think they are going to find out that it was one of the neighbors who outed an undercover operative? puleeeeaeze.

they must think this situation like the wwII joke about spies:

an agent is told he must make contact with an agent named fritz who lives in a rather large apartment building in berlin, and will know it is the right person when the man answers the signal "the elephant flies with no umbrella". when he gets there, he discovers that there are three fritzes listed in the building.

he knocks on the first door, there is no answer. knocks on the second door, gives the signal "the elephant flies with no umbrella". the man shrugs and says, "you want fritz the spy, who lives on the fourth floor."
