Chris Shays: "The President should be angry!"
Interesting quotes from Christopher Shay's on his general disappointment with Bush's reaction to these charges, from the CNN transcript:

Both aptly ready to talk about this topic and they certainly fit in with their committees. What do you make of it, Congressman Shays?

REP. CHRISTOPHER SHAYS (R), CONN., HOMELAND SECURITY COMMITTEE: Well, it's only an opportunity for the president, if he acts more like Eisenhower, who, when Sherman Adams, had taken a gift, Eisenhower didn't even say goodbye to him. He fired him, and was angry as could be that he had disgraced his position and, you know, basically reflecting badly on the White House.

KING: Are you saying the president should be angry at Scooter Libby?

SHAYS: Well, the president said, I have authorized and I have requested all my staff to fully cooperate. And this is a president, who said he wanted to restore honesty and integrity to the White House.

So, what I'm saying is he can still do that but he's got to be clear that this is unacceptable, period.

KING: Even though not proven.

SHAYS: Not proven, but at least express outrage that even someone in this White House would make people feel that they hadn't been honest.

Yeah, Bush is acting very cavalier about criminals in his mists...maybe he's actually USED to criminals being around him.

10. He acts like that most of the time, though.
He's getting back to his job, he said. It's hard work!

3. This is one of the best Larry Kings ever....
these guys are raving about Fitzgerald, as well they should. My sis and I were just talking about what a great AG Fitzgerald would make and then David Gergen mentioned it. I also think (don't mean to start a flame) that Chris Shays is making sense (of course I TOTALLY disagree that he said he supports the war). He's said that Bush was supposed to bring dignity back to the White House, that Bush should be VERY angry with Libby, this type of thing.

6. I think so, too. He rocked this country today.
He reminded us of just who we are and what is at stake.

We MUST continue to protect and defend Our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Peace.:patriot:

9. Shays was listening to AAR
That's exactly the point that Ed Shultz was making on AAR - chris must have found his logic convincing.
Instead, Junior says, "It's a sad day for America" (that a criminal is being stopped).

12. ANOTHER FUCKING AWESOME POINT THAT ****MUST****
be repeated.

The points to repeat, in order:

1) WHY did Scooter lie?

2) WHY isn't Bush angry that Scooter lied?

This is a windfall for us if we address it correctly. There is SO much more, too.
