you know scapegoat?

I'm kind of worried. Remember what they did to Tenet? And Mike Brown (and what Brownie did to LA governor and mayor ie the "I'm sorry that I didn't account for their incompotence" bullshit)

This kind of worries me.

1. Nope, because it is not yet over.
Fitz did not level conspiracy charges. Those almost have to be coming, around the corner. They will sweep the better part of the West Wing into the judicial dustpan.

3. yeah, i'm worried about it.....
....that's why i suggested sending him to a third party country for interrogation. the mask over the head, the electrodes on the nads and the humiliation tecniques would certainly break him and make him spill the beans on all the co-conspirators.

hell, bush, cheney and rush limbaugh think it's an ok way to interrogate aiders and abetters of terrorists, so....why not?

6. That's the plan, Scooter was a loose cannon acting alone and
all that torture in Iraq was just twenty-year old kids who used to work in pizza joints flying off the handle, * had nothing to with Ken Lay, etc.,

8. Sometimes it helps to be a crusty old cynic.
I have had Libby pegged as the designated scapegoat for weeks: he will be tried and, if not aquitted (or pardoned), given a slap on the wrist.

Don't worry, though, I am sure the BFEE will take good care of him. There has to be a cushy job at Haliburton or Carlyle for a man of Libby's talents.

9. not worried-I think Fitzgerald will force shrubbie
to choose whether to throw rovie-poo or big time dick under the bus. Rove looks like he wants to deal, and big dick may be the price of his freedom. Besides it will give Bush some one to blame for the whole Iraq fiasco.

10. Well yes that was obvious last weekend, but so what?
They tossed Libby overboard, Libby got coast-to-coast fluff pieces in the weekend whore-media (print version) - "Meet Scooter", NYT, WP, Boston GLobe that I know of. It was obvious that he had been selected to do some sword falling. We know that Fitz didn't leak this so clearly the Rovian side of the Cabal was wheeling and dealing to make sure that Libby was going down instead of them.

But I suspect in pushing Libby overboard -
1) they committed new obstruction and perjury offenses,
2) they are counting on Irving "Scooter" Libby to not squeal,
3) they think they know everything Fitz knows.

I think they are fooling themselves on all three counts.

11. I don't think Scooter
is man enough for that. He will talk, eventually. Just think, Scooter. yer headed for a jail cell occupied by some big dude whose momma drowned in New Orleans while she waited for Michael Brown to finish dinner and do the right thing. Heh. He'll sing like a bird when he thinks it through.
