WASHINGTON -- There's a balderdash explosion in the media these days as political pundits and spin doctors scramble to find some deeper national meaning to the California gubernatorial recall.

The conventional wisdom on this question shifted overnight. The Old Conventional Wisdom held that California's recall was fun to watch but had no apparent relevance for the rest of the nation. That's just California, OCW said, the wacky state.

But after Gov. Gray Davis lost the recall and Arnold Schwarzenegger swept aside all competitors to be his replacement, the New Conventional Wisdom holds that California is the bellwether state, filled with as much portent as locusts, a burning bush and a pillar of fire.

"Calif. recall a warning for other governors," said one Washington Post headline. "California insurrection puts other politicians on notice," echoed The New York Times.

3. I think Californians just verified

that rich people are above the law.

Fifteen brave women spoke out on the Pince-a-nator’s transgressions that would have landed a working class stiff in jail. Recently preacher man Robertson made nuclear bomb threat against a government agency and received only recognition. I couldn’t even begin to list w’s transgressions.

The relevance of elect Gov. Groper’s further confirms that in the US Greedy Oppressive Profiteers are held above the Laws of Man, God and even basic Human Decency.

6. I don't like the Gov. Pinchbottom term at all

It trivializes what he's been accused of since "Pincbottom" is a cutesie term, not a term that conveys the seriousness of what he's been accused of, which is sexual assault.

I'm hoping all the women will file charges, and "win one against the Groper."
