He (and many other fine minds here) has supplied us with HARD Facts as a basis for any speculation, much of which panned out, turned out to be true, some calls from 14 months ago that were SPOT ON.
He has not created any false avenues or Realities; filled anyone up with phony factoids for a few people here so Hope Starved that they in effect become "repeater stations" who are spreading non or distorted information (or just plain gossip), as seems to be happening more often on the DU - it's dangerous to base your mindset on hype that is incomplete or appears out of thin air just because you NEED to believe something. It can cause harm as it spreads like a cancer - others use it as a basis for speculation that gets farther and farther away from any rational arguements that we will NEED to use to "gird our loins" and do battle against the INCREDIBLE SPIN MACHINE just now warming up in the Plame case.
How are WE supposed to get Wilson's "Back" (as Will Pitt mentioned in conjunction with H2OMan), who we all respect - if we end up spouting distortions that may be equal to, or further out than the NeoCons who control the Media already - a lot of us promised to assist Joe Wilson, who has NOT LIED, has NOT leaked any false information (just like Fitz), who is screwing the hell out of the Bush monsters with RAW TRUTH, honed to the Facts which cannot be disputed and ALWAYS ADD UP.
Some of this disingenuous "fact patterns" are Not only dangerous to each purveyor's personal credibility, but to the DU on the whole as well - without serious discourse based on credible references we could become some sort of laughingstock on the web - we've had people get us all wiggling before like little puppies pissing in every corner simply because many of us wanted to BELIEVE something WAS going to happen, there absolutely WAS a "smoking gun" and to the point where the Admin had to step in and STOP IT. And thank God, or Koresh or whatever you have faith in that it worked. In a way the DU is STILL reeling from that, some here, based on false info started to DOUBT the deadly ILLNESS of Andy Stephenson at a time when he needed us most - man, am I glad that the ones that KNEW what was going on were able to pin folks down on the falsities and get them to cut the CRAP.
Look at how Jon Stewart handled Bill Kristol last night while Kristol kept repeating the NeoCon mantras of "We all Knew there were WMD.." (got a mouse in your Pocket, Bill?), and "Bush is a fine President, the invasion of Iraq was neccessary for their democracy to florish.
If you didn't see it, it was HEAVEN. Jon handed Kristol his ass in one sentence, right from the start - "Gee Bill, according to all your writings you were wrong about Iraq before anybody else.."
Bill was SHAKING. He could NOT defend Bush anymore. And WE need to know the FACTS to defend Joe and his WIFE. And those facts are available - from John Conyers, Ray McGovern, Cindy Sheehan, Joe Wilson, and many of their associates in Congress - in this film you see the 120+ Congresspersons and over 500,000 american signatures demanding the TRUTH from Bush, as well as Larry Johnson, Marcinkowski, Waxman, Waters, Lang, more names than I can list ALL telling the same story - they do not have to create seperate realities and maintain them..
You can watch with JOY in this film as Joe CUTS TO SHREDS very nearly ALL the Republican Talking Points like a laser beam of white heavenly light.
The research I did for this film, was cross checked, vetted, has multiple sources (at least two), been confirmed and none of it bears any relation to RUMOR, Smoke Screen, Bait & Switching and any number of trickery you might associate with Fraudulant Spin for gain. Something WE don't need to add to, because if WE add to the distortions only one side will win, the ones that LIVE for it, and kill innocent troops and civilians with it. They will use OUR distortions to "win" and kill even more, or gain more power or never be held responsible.
And with Facts and credible witnesses you can rest assured that we have our feet on firm ground. If I were to lie about these facts then our side would have already lost the battle.
So I worked hard not only for my own credibility but for those on the Progressive side as well, and anyone that wants to rally around that will win with us. Better believe that Fitz is crossing all his T's and dotting his i's - any slip-ups will force us to LOSE, and NONE of us can afford that right now at this pivotal moment in history.
I flew to DC to film the DSM Hearings because I live through the Nixon scene and I could see the beginnings of a tidal wave that could wash the FILTH from our precious White House. And the Plame Outing & DSM Hearing testimony PROVE each other to be true.. so I've joined them - Wilson was under Oath during the DSM hearings, he'd had time to digest and study all the attacks and innuendoes used to paint him by the right wing (and I really Mean the NeoCOns or CORPORATIST FACISTS like Bush) and gain even more perspective since the original attacks on him and his wife.
SO his testimony was even more revealing, covered more ground, PROVED more than earlier statements, or forced sound bites not favoring him, designed to stab him and others like Conyers in the back, to wither on the Media Vine with his newfound perspective.
I've created a Chronology that simplifies the story but at the same time is subtle enough to make you realise something LATER, like those jokes a favorite Uncle might tell you that made you WISER a few days later - the film is enlightening, entertaining (Jon Stewart SLAYS people, but adds poignancy too), and educating folks in ways they may not realise. I've learned how to teach people while making them laugh, opening them up so that the fact sticks in their head along with a good feeling so it's not forgotten so soon, and can be used to disarm a rightwinger with some wit and charm that doesn't antaganize them. In the old days right and left used to barbque together and enjoy each other and even discuss politics without vowing to burn the other's house down and kill all their pets, no scorched earth policy - and I believe we can return to that - once we BRING REAL CONSERVATIVES BACK into the fold, and convince them that the Corporatists are Snakes that will bite either side, so BOTH sides need to destroy it.
That feeling is in this film, and we can use it. But NOT if WE, as progressives buy into gossip, hype, etc as FACT. Apply the WHere, WHO, HOW, WHY and WHEN to each post or statement like a reporter yourself and see if what you're being told to believe holds water.
That's what I did, and to see UnderstandingLife, Octafish, H20Man, and many others coming to the same conclusions that I did making the film WITHOUT reading a lot of their posts over the last year until now, makes me believe that WE are correct, and have no interest or anything to gain by saying anything but what We have discovered and to marvel as it comes true, one insight after another..
Sorry to get on the soapbox here, but this may well be the most important subject and turn of events in American History, our lives may be changed forever depending on who "wins" - LIES and BULLSHIT, or Honest Rule of Law without which we have only anarchy, and are fair game, and the game is life or death now.
I would urge you to get this film, I wish I could hand it out free, but if I did I'd be in the street. And I appreciate those that recognize that THIS is important, that some Speculation has panned out to be meaningless, vapor.
Thanks H20Man for your honest and flattering review of my hard work, and I welcome anyone else's reviews as well - I like to listen to everyone, together we represent the truth, but we can be divided easily and it doesn't have to be freepers and trolls - sometimes we are our own worst enemy.
Well, I'm no Will Pitt so I'll shut up for now, but I've got a WMD right here in this film, the ultimate WMD, the TRUTH and the destruction is what YOU can cause to these Monsters that will SPIN and Distort not only what they have said, but what YOU may say - if you have distorted "facts" those will just ADD to their ammunition.
And they have killed and distorted, and destroyed enough, don't you think?
The film goes faster than you think, it's got a lot of fun in it to keep it flowing, and you'll learn more than you realise once you've watched it. I've been told that I now and again do very powerful work, and I think this is powerful, and power which can be understated can sometimes be the ultimate power.. the don't even see it coming :)
Thanks to all my friends old and new who have supported me, sending out another batch today, was up all night as I have been for months and months, so forgive me for rambling here some, I mean well, and I mean well for all of us - making these films are a community service deal for me, I could make money doing any number of things, but I can't stand idly by while the world is murdered by Bush and pals.
Just like Joe Wilson and each of you there is a saying that, "Evil wins when good men/women stand by and do NOTHING.."
Peace, and we WILL get it, rest assured and visualize more than TWO Indictments - if you watch this film you'll find that bit of 'news' frankly ridiculous.
