This guy, basically your poor little rich kid drives drunk and kills 3 students. His dad was the criminal-justice chairman and a former prosecutor at WSU.

"Three days before he was to go to trial on vehicular-homicide and vehicular-assault charges, Russell disappeared with a stolen $1,300 check written against his father's account and money from what police believe was the sale of his baseball cards. He was driven to the Calgary, Alberta, airport by a family friend, Bernadette Olson. Olson was later convicted of lying to a federal marshal, telling him she had not seen any evidence that Russell planned to flee the area. She was sentenced to six months in prison.

Here's part of his pitty letter to the paper before he tucked tail and ran,

"In a letter to his father and local newspapers after he left, Russell wrote: "Since the first day after the tragic accident, horrible things have been printed about me. Now people are so enraged that they would rather see me dead than receive a fair trial."

Yeah I'm glad this guy is almost caught, I was hit by a drunk driver when I was 15. Now I'm 45 with an artificial knee because of it, I have no lost love for drunk drivers.
