2. And leave my grandkids alone!!!!
Sorry...just got their school pictures. They're 11 and 8, beautiful boys (don't tell them I said that!). Their 17-year-old sister (my stepgranddaughter) is gorgeous. Now I hear that their 37-year-old father is not too old to fight. I agree, LynnTheDem--let the bushbots go and fight this war. I'm sure none of them are either too young or too old. Sign up now, you chickenhawks. And I repeat: Leave. My. Grandkids. Alone!!!

4. Lynn, a lot of young men and women that aren't "warmongering...
Bushbots" are enlisting in the armed services for a lot of reasons. Career opportunities, money for future education, and pride in service to the country. You might disagree on the pride one, but the ones I have talked to really don't have a lot of political biases one way or the other.

die over there as well. But, that has strengthened my determination to not take my political feelings out on the military service members that are out there serving. I knew them well, and they weren't "warmongering Bushbots". They were like most military members...kids caught up in a war. Were the three service members whose funerals you attended "warmongering Bushbots"?

14. Like I said earlier, I work with enlisted military on a daily basis...
and I have yet to meet a "warmongering Bushbot" after 18 years of it...but I don't doubt you have.

I just urge you to not let your hatred of Bush make you lose the humanity and compassion of which we are all capable. You will come back and say that you do feel compassion for innocent Iraqis, and I don't doubt that. But, IMO, you are losing compassion for the U.S. innocents that are caught up in a situation that they have very little control over.

Edited on Tue Oct-25-05 10:41 AM by tx_dem41
you HAVE to go to Iraq, in your just world? One question....why?

The person in question is an adult, able to make their own decision, right? Are they responsible for the political stances of their parents?

8. Permanent bases
That was the original plan. Anyone who keeps claiming more troops wants more war. This isn't rocket science, just politics and political speech.

18. Years? Not if the "failed insurgency" and the Iraqi people have any say.
Most of the Iraqi people support attacks on American troops. The majority want to see our backs.

Ever so slowly the American people are beginning to understand that this miserable slaughter had/has nothing to do with their security and a lot to do with ambitious politicians waving the flag and sending troops off to kill and die for nothing.
