About the new announcement on posting about indictments

I like the idea of having one forum for just this topic. I can also see this situation lasting longer than the admins think. Maybe we'll even need a new permanent "Big Forum" for this.

Whatever the admins decide - I sure appreciate the new plan for when things come down! All hell is going to break loose around here. Thanks admins. Thanks a whole bunch! :headbang:

2. On another note, I bet we go to DEFCON 10.

No colored anything, no text formatting, no links, just text posts. I'm kidding, of course, but DU is going to have more traffic than it ever has. Wonder how admin plans to accomodate all of the traffic. :shrug:

Oh, and I agree with your idea about a permanent big forum for Fitz related stuff. This could go on for the rest of the Bush presidency, and beyond.

4. The plan is on the Latest page

It's a new announcement on the right side.

I suppose that they'll stop taking new members as they've done in the past. I think it'll be like being under siege. I plan on losing sleep no matter what happens.

7. I saw about them making GD a temporary Fitz forum.

Didn't know how they would handle the traffic.

Yeah, the trolls will either be crying in their root beer tomorrow night, or pestering DUers. I almost hope a few come to visit. It's fun to watch them make desperate fools of themselves.

3. indictments

I think it's a great idea to create a separate forum just for indictment related info! It would probably be the first place I would visit every day!

When indictments are issued, there are likely to be trials to determine guilt of innocense. I heard one estimate today that said the trials may not begin until spring or summer of next year!

And let's also remember that the Fitzgerald investigation is not the only one. There is also the DeLay and Frist investigations and also the Abramoff thing too! And the Abramoff situation could last for years.

So yes, I believe there is more than enough material for an indictment forum.

5. They're going to do this right away

Turning GD into that kind of forum. See the announcement on the Latest page. I was just musing that it will probably last for a long time.

6. Weeks ago I felt it would be of value to have a separate forum.

Would make it a lot easier to research and get up to speed.

Could call it "The Fitz Forum"!
