Camp David Consensus: Let's all blame Cheney...okay. Is that it,
is that the plan that they came up with at the pow-wow this weekend? Hmm. I wonder.

Um, let's see, where was that DU thread about Cheney not going down alone? It's around here somewhere...

3. I just don't see Cheney falling on his sword for anybody!
I hear the same thing you do, but something is wrong with the story. It just doesn't fit Cheney's personality at all.

13. if this were a novel
the plan would involve Cheney faking his own death (bad heart) and living his life out in South America or on an island somewhere off a foreign bank account.

then the rest can keep blaming him for everything.

14. It really is excruciating all that we have had to endure over the
past month or so since Judith has testified. I for one will be glad when all the guessing and reading between the lines is done. It is exhausting and my head hurts.

16. It might be Cheney's plan - counting on a pardon from the Chimp
If Bush goes down with the entire pirate ship and gets impeached, it might make it much harder for the Dick to cash in his get out of jail card with a Presidential pardon. Getting convicted but avoiding prison is better than everyone, including Cheney, going to jail. Maybe Cheney's just seeing the writing on the wall and wants the quickest means to get back to chairing the corporate meetings at Halliburton. But if that were the plan and Cheney were already prepared to fall on his sword, the evidence must be overwhelmingly damning. If that's the case, there must be a phone, e-mail, memo and eye-witness evidentiary record of wrongdoing that would take your breath away. Or the evidence may contain some other crime of which we are not even yet aware.
