15. A truly beautiful person...
and to think, she was just tired and wanted to get home, and didn't want any guff from anyone. Her passive resistance led to the Civil Rights Movement. Just one disobedient act, such great consequences.

2. She was a naturally good person
with an unerring sense of humanity. From a speech she made in 1998: "I am leaving this legacy to all of you ... to bring peace, justice, equality, love and a fulfillment of what our lives should be. Without vision, the people will perish, and without courage and inspiration, dreams will die -- the dream of freedom and peace."

Rest now sweet sister. All of us girls will keep up the good fight. Did she ever win a medal before the presentation from Clinton? She and people like Martin Luther King junior, John Lewis, Jesse Jackson, Cindy Sheehan are all proof that one person can change a society.

24. Yep
Clinton didn't treat someone like they were less than them. He's such a nice person to everybody. I remember watching earlier this year from 2000 on CSPAN the voting rights march event and Clinton was there and everyone loved him and he just hung out with the crowd and didn't care about color and everything. That's a beautiful thing with him and Hillary and Chelsea.

28. What a wonderful soul
In this mornings paper I read that she retired working for Rep. John Conyers. Wouldn't it be great to have Mr. Conyers as our first Black President. Wouldn't it be nice just to have a president.

35. Rosa Parks' light will forever shine...
This little light of mine
I'm going to let it shine
Oh, this little light of mine
I'm going to let it shine
Hallelujah
This little light of mine
I'm going to let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine

Ev'ry where I go
I'm going to let it shine
Oh, ev'ry where I go
I'm going to let it shine
Hallelujah
Ev'ry where I go
I'm going to let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine

All in my house
I'm going to let it shine
Oh, all in my house
I'm going to let it shine
Hallelujah
All in my house
I'm going to let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine

I'm not going to make it shine
I'm just going to let it shine
I'm not going to make it shine
I'm just going to let it shine
Hallelujah
I'm not going to make it shine
I'm just going to let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine

Out in the dark
I'm going to let it shine
Oh, out in the dark
I'm going to let it shine
Hallelujah
Out in the dark
I'm going to let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine
