Is there a foreign equivalent to DU?

Does, say, Australia have a progressive site similar to DU? How about Canada, Great Britain, Ireland or New Zealand? Anyone know?

3. The Net is international, it belongs to all of us

DU is not an exclusive American site, we have alot of members from around the world. Way back when, before there was an internet, when I used to use BBS's(on my 9600 baud modem, boy was that fast!) I realized that an information revolution was about to happen. I was right. And we are still in it's infancy, the incredible leaps we have made in the last 10 or so years are astounding when you look back at them. The next 10 are going to blow peoples minds. The lines and borders seperating us are slowly going to dissolve and we will come out a better world for it. That is if the Shrub doesn't blow us all up first ;)

5. Vaguely similar.
But the politics in Ukraine don't map nicely onto American politics.

http://eng.maidanua.org/ is the (reduced) English site.

http://maidanua.org/ is the Ukrainian version. Needless to say, the Ukrainian-language forum is hopping, usually; the English-language one pretty dead.

Maidan is where a lot of the "Orange Revolution" banter took place, coordination, and discussion.

:hi:

We've got the same types of stupid (and greedy Idiots) (neo)cons here to stand up against (to make sure they'll never have a single opportunity to destroy our beau/tiful pays/country). As of now: we've been successful! ;)
