1. This is halfway to a duh! story
I would be upset if they weren't strategizing how to deal with this story. Still, I wouldn't mind being a fly-on-the-wall at the Dem caucus lunch tomorrow.

5. Hmmm I am actually pissed that they are.
Spinning puts it into the category of normal beltway sleeze. Becasue it give the GOP a chance to say "this is just politics" the liberal are strategizing how to make hay from this.

7. I disagree. This goes to the heart of why we are in Iraq
And this is about a federal crime committed by the 'Law and Order' party. I want the Dems to be prepared for it.

That said, there is a right way and a wrong way to talk about it. Talking about the national ramifications of a cabal that plotted to lie it's way into war and that decieved Congress in the process is the right way. The wrong way would be to politicize it as an event that overtly boosts the Democratic Party.

It's not about us (Dems), it's about them. But I would like to see a corrdinated response that talks about how the country was wronged by this. That would be fine by me.

8. I don't comp[letely disagree
I just don't want this too appear polictical...I want it to be about national security and perjury.

10. Abolutely. Again.it's not about us, it's about them.
And how they betrayed the public trust, endangered national security and comiitted perjury. The Dems should have a response for that that doens't step on any news that comes out of the Special Prosecutor's office. (Treated as commentary, very sad commentary and not as a campaign release.)

15. I agree
I remember reading earlier this year when Reid became minority leader and reading how he had a "war" room for the media. Sounds like they're going to meet for the response to it and what to go forward and everything. I'm actually glad they're meeting and getting together and working together and being united.

6. That's what makes us different than the freeps........
Edited on Mon Oct-24-05 09:23 PM by TheDebbieDee
It's what makes us better, smarter than the knuckle-draggin' repukes. We don't all think alike....we don't allow ourselves to be told what to think. We can come to a consensus about things, but we'll never all agree on something......well, except for the fact that W is a lousy pResident!

About all other things, we can agree to disagree.

12. i agree completely. uh, wait a minute ...
i do agree that our sometimes rancorous debate all in all is a good thing and produces the best ideas for the nation as a whole.

however, we could stand a bit of common front on the marketing side.

just as two parents bring valuable, yet different perspectives to raising kids, yet it is also important that those differences not be made obvious and exploitable by the kids. disagree and debate internally, then present a united front externally.
