Maudlin and Giddy
is how Tweetie describes the White House at the moment.

2. Has * started talking to pictures yet?
Has he asked penis cheney to pray with him? Has he said "I am not a crook", while making the v sign with both hands? I think I'm experiencing deja vu all over again (thanks Yogi Berra).

8. Yeah...I was on the phone and couldn't get that down fast
enough...it made me want to bake a yummy pie.

An indictment pie!

Somehow this seems to fit the bill..

Sing a song of sixpence a pocket full of rye,
Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened the birds began to sing,
Oh wasn't that a dainty dish to set before the king?
The king was in his counting house counting out his money,
The queen was in the parlour eating bread and honey
The maid was in the garden hanging out the clothes,
When down came a blackbird and pecked off her nose!

9. Merriam Webster sez...
Main Entry: maud·lin
Pronunciation: 'mod-l&n
Function: adjective
Etymology: alteration of Mary Magdalene; from her depiction as a weeping penitent
1 : drunk enough to be emotionally silly
2 : weakly and effusively sentimental

Main Entry: 1gid·dy
Pronunciation: 'gi-dE
Function: adjective
Inflected Form(s): gid·di·er; -est
Etymology: Middle English gidy mad, foolish, from Old English gydig possessed, mad; akin to Old English god god
1 a : DIZZY <giddy from the unaccustomed exercise> b : causing dizziness <a giddy height> c : whirling rapidly
2 a : lightheartedly silly : FRIVOLOUS b : joyfully elated : EUPHORIC

Ok, either they have a huge bomb to drop on all the indictments and they are giddy with excitement, or, they know it's time for a frog march or perp walk and they are dumbfounded and getting sentimental about the evil-good times they've had that are about to come to an end.
