WHO IS FITZGERALD? WHO APPOINTED HIM? Sean Hannity does some research....

by Mia T, 10.24.05

Fitzgerald was appointed by his pal of 14 years, Deputy Attorney General James Comey (who was, himself, appointed by Bush, of course).

Reported today by Sean Hannity:

Fitzgerald & Comey are a duo, according to various reports.

What is interesting is that when Comey was United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, he refused to indict assorted rodhams and clintons for pardongate crimes, including the Rich deal and the New Square statistical miracle.

But he was not averse to indicting Martha Stewart. And Fitzgerald went on the Today show to defend his friend's decision to indict for matters other than the underlying crime....

Bush really must steer clear of political enemies when making appointments; and that includes roving tsunami and hurricane ambassadors.

2. If that's the best he can do, it's no problem!
What he said was true. Trying to make it look bad won't work.

6. He ought to remember what happened when DeLay starting screaming ...
... about Earle. Not saying DeLay got any worse than what was coming to him, but he didn't get cut any slack.

7. No shit. There's no there there. And when Chimp is on record praising
Fitz's integrity just a week ago... They got NUTHIN'! Never underestimate the depths to which they will stoop in order to assassinate with manufactured evidence.

18. It won't matter
Bush will say all sorts of nice things about Fitzgerald, while his cronies practice slash & burn, rape & pillage, you name it. I think Bush praised Kerry's service in Vietnam as well, if you recall. Of course, that was after a month of Kerry getting raked over the coals nightly on cable news.

11. The louder these wounded fools bleat...
.. the more they undermine their own credibility.

Americans might be stupid enough to believe a president was telling them the truth about the need to go to war, but everybody can spot the "I didn't break the law, honest, really, that prosecutor is a bad bad man" crap.

It isn't going to fly with anyone but the base, and they are idiots beyond any remediation so who cares.

17. There has been a lot of..
.... "what if there are no indictments" angst floating around here the last couple weeks.

I don't claim any special knowledge, but I'm all but certain they are coming, and that the White House is already aware that indictments are coming.

Everything that is happening all points to it. I could be wrong, I sure hope not, but I think this is all but a done deal.

26. None of us "know" anything about what Fitz' will do, we are all
riding our own emotional and to some extent rationalized interpretations of our limited experience.

Don't let it get you down. What will be, will be.

28. I KNOW I'm riding on emotion, but
nonetheless, I do not trust the average American's ability to see through the spin against Fitzgerald. Why should I??? Why should any of us?? Many Americans still don't even know there is no link between 9-11 and Iraq?

What do we do about the ignorance gap??

the more it means they know bad stuff is coming down the pike.
Why bother if nothing is going to happen?

And the Ronnie Earle stuff? If you hear any wingnut saying anything about him, just remind them that he's gone after WAY more Dems in Texas than repukes. Partisan my ass. The guy goes after PEOPLE WHO BREAK THE LAW. Period.

assholes on the radio rarely, if ever, have any effect on investigations like this.

Fitz is a lawyer's lawyer, and no one can imagine him listening to Hannity, or listening to anyone who listens to Hannity.

25. Calling All Screenwriters and Creative People
I just posted a thread on this topic.

We need to author the next act in this movie--Fitzgerald cannot do this alone. If he has the guts, we have to have the guts too to organize and neutralize the attacks against him.
