The First Fitzmas Story & Carols were born in the KOEB clubhouse of DU.
on 9/28. Now that Fitzmas is getting 100,000 google hits I think
people should see where Fitzmas started.

BTW

KOEB is the Keith Obermann Estrogen Brigade
an EDV is an Estrogen Driven Vixen
Gull Bay is located where the women of the KOEB
go to "unwind," drink, and snark.
Bay Airs are bears but w/ a New England accent
handcuffs or cuffs are used by certain EDVs during
"cuff love"

Treason is the reason for the season.

2. no but it is the first christmas / fitz story
after that story many "fitzmas" carols began to pop up.

It was in that story that I made the connection between
bush & company going doing and christmas.

That was the birth of Fitzmas & Fitzmas carols. Even if the
word Fitzmas was not used.

4. posts 12 & 13 were the first fitzmas carols
Edited on Mon Oct-24-05 02:11 PM by Botany
Winkipeda is saying that the first Fitzmas use was in DU on
10/6/05 ...... not that others would not have come up with
it independently.

I know I used the word not long after I wrote that story. It
is funny to me to be driving down the road and hear the
word "fitzmas" on the radio .......

Just that people might like to see where it was born.

6. Oct 6, at the DU anyway.
Though I can't guarantee that the DU is the first place the term "Fitzmas" was uttered.

5. I was wondering whose fault it was.
I think there are some others who believe there was a different origin. The wikipedia page has been deleted, or I'd show you. ;)

7. I saw that page.... but
the first national recognition was a Washington Post pickup of a daily Kos posting.... but that poster credited it to DU:

http://progdem22.dailykos.com/story/2005/10/19/1434/3724

from georgia10's website:
Talk about a meme: Fitzmas Explosion
The term "Fitzmas" was around for a bit before I wrote "Dealing With Fitzmas" (online use of the term originated at DU), but it seems to have caught on quite a bit. A google search now yields 51,500 results for the word! It's been a mere four days since my Fitzmas post, and the term wasn't that popular before then. Glad it's catching on!

Having said that, don't let people argue that our use of term "Fitzmas" somehow trivializes this criminal investigation. Just like jokes about Cuban cigars didn't take away the gravitas of impeachment, so will our joyful term not take away from the fact that we recognize that this investigation is a serious matter.

12. The page hasn't been deleted yet but it is in consideration.
If they do delete it, I am afraid it's my fault :( I noticed when I posted about Fitzmas making it on wikipedia ( http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=5136844 ) a troll kept trying to change it. Then it invited other vandals to participate. Sorry about that. I hope it doesn't get deleted.

9. No problem ..... More power to SpiralHawk.
I am sure more then one person could have come up w/ the
thought .... I do know that mine was the first "fitzmas"
story and and the carols that followed were the first I know
of. Others very well might have come up with "like thoughts"
independently and that is very good. I think somebody called the
carols Dem Carols not Fitzmas Carols.

I used it (fitzmas) on Stephanie :loveya: Miller in early oct too.

But to me it is just wonderful the way the word and the carols
have spread. I even got a carol i wrote sent back to me through the
net on e mail.

Treason is the reason for the season.

10. Merry Fitzmas Botany

It's beginning to look a lot like Fitzmas
Everywhere you go.
Who's gonna do five-or-ten?
We're thinking once again
Of handcuffs and of orange jumpsuits aglow.
It's beginning to look a lot like Fitzmas
Indictments on every score
But the prettiest sight to see
Is the scowl on Darth Cheney
At the slammer's front door.

A warrant or writ, a subpoena that fits
Is the wish of Barney and Ben;
The thought of Turdblossom hung up like a possum
Is the hope of Janice and Jen;
And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for court to start again.

It's beginning to look a lot like Fitzmas
Everywhere you go.
There's an defendant who doesn't want to tell;
One in the White House as well --
The felony kind that doesn't mind the law!
It's beginning to look a lot like Fitzmas
Soon the bells will start
And the thing that will make them ring
Is the indictment that we sing,
Right within our hearts!

11. Merry Fitzmas.
To you too.

* & company are going down.

I find the 100s of fitzmas carols, cards, and poems wonderful.

It shows that their groundswell against * is massive and "we"
are not the fringe but the majority.

personal note I live in Columbus, OH and saw and heard the election
theft frist hand .... no doubt .... no :tinfoilhat: stuff and wish I never
saw or heard what i did.

DU has allowed me to keep my sanity.

BTW Fitz has the forged "Niger Yellow Cake" documents.
