3. From what I've seen...
on the local bb's from the area, no one expects reliable power back until Wednesday. While some supplies have reached Isla Mujeres today by air, the ferries aren't running, so mexicoxpat's liable to be incommunicado for awhile yet. Like so many DUers, I'm anxious to hear from her! What an ordeal she's been through.

2. If she was on Isle Mujeres, which I expect she may have been
I doubt we will hear from her for a while and I do hope she is OK

4. Isla Mujeres took it hard....
..I have a friend on the island too. Haven't heard a word from him since Thurs either. Reports are saying much of the island 'totalled'and no ferries and no power expected for quite some time. No reports of casualties though, so all appear safe.

Here is a link to the Isla Mujeres forum - very little info coming out. Yes, Mexicoxpat is/was on Isla.

5. From another isla forum...
http://www.islamujeres.info

I just saw the mexican tv newscast, that finaly made it to isla, the report is that Isla is much better that cancun or playa, the beach is still there, and no lives where lost. Ferry to Punta Sam will resume tomorrow morning.

The cleaning and rebuilding started already so dont cancel your trip yet... or better even, go there and make some friends and enjoy the table of the most wonderfull people.

7. Yes, that makes me feel much better!
Everything else is just "stuff," granted it's stuff that means a lot to people, but the people are what counts.
